Yes. But they are outside Tigers control. Rabbits (100k chip in) Eels (Stefano) have to play ball. It would likely also take Storm (Tino), Titans (Arrow) releasing players. I’m told we are out on JAC also or more specifically he’s not considering us.

Really disappointed about JAC if true. Genuinely believed his love for the club and his desire of returning.

Can anyone explain how the Roosters have $1mill to spend with ALL their talent and no one bats an eyelid. And you wonder why we can't sign any quality players with the way the salary cap works.

As much as I think AD would be great for us. At 500K, it sounds abit risky IMO. Who knows, maybe we need to take the risk for a possible reward. South's cap management sounds very dodgy and I think they need to offload him to be at least half cap compliant. Like many have said, If souths pitch a bit of $$ (which I doubt) then definitely.

Yeah me too. It appears that the already successful clubs can just pass the very best players around to each other at will, while struggling and mid-range clubs can only get what's left over, whether they are cashed up or otherwise - that's just the way it goes.

I think we are missing a few things here...at one point it was reported we had 1.4 to 1.7 mill to spend when chasing Latrell...now it's just northward of 600K according to the SMH article and signed Musgrove...

Something doesn't add up ..where did the money go...unless they have no clue or we never had that much space to begin with..or there are more than a few getting overs..which apparently we don't do anymore

When you consider that (reportedly) McQueen is on 400k, Jennings 400k, Nofo 450k, Reynolds 800k, Packer 650k: Douehi at 500k sounds good value.

We have a ton of money to spend and he’s the kind of player that will make us a better team without question. And he can slot into the 6 once Benji retires. Would be an astute signing imo.

For us it's potentially a good signing. For Souths it can't be working. The problem is all these figures are just plucked out of the air.

If souffs truly don't have a cap issue for this year then why would they encourage a young player who their coach "thinks highly of" to negotiate elsewhere with 2 yrs left to run on his current contract.. smoke & mirrors...
At the very least Douehi is solid depth for souffs given the fact LM's fitness will be targeted by opposition teams and will likely pick up an injury or 2 sometime this year.

I'd say call their bluff for this season because they're most definitely gonna feel the cap squeeze next year. Then when they're feeling the pinch, and if he's still available, demand they pay 1/2 the freight(250K) for his final year.

This isn't a do or die signing for us so it has to work in our favor, otherwise focus on the bigger fish next off season.

It's not who they lost Spud it's who they have still got with still $1mill to spend -Tedesco JWH Keary Manu Crichton Cordner Radley Morris Tupou just off the top of my head all rep players and some of the best young talent coming through..we have all just become accustomed to accepting it. Flannagan is one the best young talents in the game he didnt go there for crumbs. Of course we are no hope of getting JAC if they want him.
