Can someone who actually knows explain whether there is a difference between the top 30 and an NRL contract.

For example, if Stefano, Ad and one more player sign on we are at 30. If we pay Simpkin above minimum wage does he then take the spot of a minimum wage player in the top 30? I seem to remember that the top 30 is based on contact value so that clubs can't load up in lower grades.

I just despise South’s that much, I don’t want to help them with their salary cap issues so they can go and buy more stars.
Then expect WT to take their leftover scraps.

With that approach we'll never sign anybody. Whoever we sign, it is helping someone's salary cap.

We don’t have to take their dregs to help them sign top shelf players either.

I don’t think that AJ is an upgrade on what we already have.
Doueihi position is fullback or 5/8, he was diabolical on the wing.
I see Tommy Talau as our long term 5/8.

No, a post earlier said he’d read on LL that Doueihi was a done deal. Thinking about it I think he may have meant League Unlimited.

Top 30 players sign a NRL contract, Canterbury Cup players sign a Canterbury Cup contract?

Doesn't Douehi still live around the Concord area with his parents, more likely then to sign with Tigers than Storm as he is very close to his family from all reports.

He went to St Patrick's College Strathfield, same year as my son...if he does leave Souffs it wont be to the Storm if he has another Sydney based offer
