They are apparently treating him like royalty

Too little too late for Parra I reckon. The reason he wanted out in the first place is because they treated his family badly. Suck it Parra!

It’s like a a junkie relative who stole your mums best jewellery, only to realise they need your mum to get to work . “ I love you mate ! Promise it won’t happen again mate !”

Just had a chat with my brother, his neighbour is on the coaching staff at parra,we were talking about this Stefano bloke....the reason parra aren't releasing him is they are doing everything to get him to pull out of the deal with us.....even using Moses and Matterson to badmouth this club

From what I've read though Stefano hates parra more than those 2 morons hate the tiger's

And anyway he can only pull out if we allow him to

Doubt we would release him no matter how much he wants out. We have him locked up until the end of 2023. He's got plenty of time to get used to the idea of playing for us. Unlikely any of the rumours of him wanting out are true. Sounds more like Parra fans being hopeful than anything else.

Sorry if this has been said already.

I rarely read League Unlimited, but someone on there said they work with a relative of Adam Doueihi and Storm are apparently favourites. As usual, no idea how accurate this is.

If he wants to play fullback I doubt he would go there where he has Papenhuyzen and Hughes ahead of him.

I don't think Stefano would listen to those two soft ex tigers
They both through a tantrum like little children who had their toys taken away from them so they could get out of our club
Stefano has already stated something along the lines off "I will give my all if I am at Parramatta in 2020"
This is a real mans comment and commitment not a childs
Stefano is already way ahead in maturity then Moses and Matterson.
Both Moses and Matterson could learn something from Stefano
"ETHICS"
Seems like a hard and professional footballer who will be a real asset to our club
Stefano can hold his head high while Moses and Matterson can go back into their little muddy slimy hole
Welcome to our club Stefano
We are all proud to have you

Thoughts on signing rapana mid season if we grab leilia?

over 30, 6months bludging in Japan, not cheap, limited time on the field for the season, demotivation for players committed full time already.

Yeah na.

What do you mean when you say St. Pats has a high opinion of itself?

I mean that St Pats tries to position itself as one of the fancy schools in the area, but it's just a regular Christian Bros with average sporting and academic achievements. And everyone likes beating them in any endeavour possible.

Shame they don't play League anymore; there's so much energy wasted in schoolboy rugby, that has no long term purpose within the 4th-ranked dying football code. You've got all these kids in ISA / CAS / GPS schools, the latter with their faux exclusivity and horrendous school fees, plying away at rugby to then play Shute Shield or maybe jag some pointless Super Rugby spot, until the powers close a franchise down.

Seriously dude your rant on Rugby is totally uncalled for

I can guarantee you West Harbour has only 1 GPS player in its club at present, an 18yr old Trinity player. You will find that this common with a number of other clubs in the Shute shield as well.

There is nothing exclusive about the Pirates but what they do better than any, is love the club, something money hungry NRL players certainly don't. The team spirit shown in the club, that is not highly successful, is amazing.

If you want to rant about anything, rant about how the AFL is decimating not only Rugby but the NRL as well. Shute Shield Rugby still has ability to find players of all backgrounds and give them an equal opportunity to play at a level that suits them in Europe, Asia, Americas and Africa. I don't see that happening in league or AFL.

Great sensible post.

Again he has height and speed...would come cheap if it meant playing with his buddy imo would only offer both a two year contract, you don’t offer 4 years deals to any player over 28...leipana would be an absolute weapon for us and give us a real attack edge...but then again still leave us with the FB issue

Paul Crawley certainly enjoys putting the boot into the Tigers. Cheap shots and commentary when everyone knows the lack of onfield success.

Now this is where the club digs in and refuses a player release if Stefano asks for it. He has signed with us for 2021 for 3 years I believe on not a lot.

No release especially to the mud dwellers.

It is a bit concerning, as it would be very tough to endure constant criticism from people in your ear without some of it eventually sinking in.

We should absolutely smash them through official channels should something eventuate here. Really make a stand. Refuse to play them if the NRL does nothing, wouldn't the papers love that! Toddy would have to do something then, FOX network would be really not impressed if they lose a game and have to show a replay.

This will be unpopular but we should have signed him much earlier. His contract in comparison to one of our own wingers would not have been unreasonable. .

Joey can get exposed defensively ...can get very lazy defending a blind side

Just watch the winning try from the grand final last season it’s a prime example

Yeah but they probably wouldn’t have been in the GF without him. He was a big part of there success last year.

It’s easy to focus on the negatives - but BJ has far more upside than downside. He puts in every game and is streaks infront of anything we have had in the backline for a long long time.

Imagine him and Noffa 1-2 combo - will give a few team nightmares and start us off very well each set. Plenty of tries will come that side for us as well.

JL was successful at the Raiders because he had Jordan Rapana outside of him. If it is intended to buy JL, we will need to buy or promote from the lower grads a top quality finisher who is also strong defensively. Finishing means length of the field not only from 10 metres out and it does not include being pulled down form behind when in the clear.

LOL - Geez so lets not sign BJ because we don’t have someone fast outside him.

Rapana was successful because of BJ - it goes both ways....

BJ would be a positive step in the right direction for us.

**No fast winger would look at us compared to other teams because we have nothing that would create or give them space. BJ will do that a ton of time.**

Brooks, Marshall and LL? Nah those three aren't creative at all 🙂

I don't like the song on this film but I love the shot when Larry streaks away from the Souths defence. Souths aren't the only club with strong indigenous links -

Raiders and Bunnies would both want to be kicking some coin into the kitty based on Doueihi and BJs current deals...
