You just answered your own question....Madge 'coached' those players.

He did not recruit them.

Look at my post history and you will see I think he is a great coach.

Recruitment is not his strength.

I believe he can identify early talent and get the best out of it. I’m optimistic this season not because we’ve signed a great bunch of superstars but because we have a super coach.

I believe he can identify early talent and get the best out of it. I’m optimistic this season not because we’ve signed a great bunch of superstars but because we have a super coach.

I think Madge is a good coach but a poor recruiter and I’ve seen nothing to change my view on that.

I’ll put it another way, Richo and Crowe were at Souths almost ten years before Madge turned up, recruiting all that time for zero, Madge turns up and they win gold. I’m not saying Richo and Crowe can’t recruit and I’m not saying Madge is a miracle worker, but give the man some credit. Who says he is a poor recruiter except you and EH? I’ve never heard anyone else accuse him of that.

Now we want to pay 500k this year, 600k next year for a dude that cant crack south's backline. Next level funny. For every one saying other teams will get ad, where are they they are free to negotiate as we are. Thats right nobody's biting on that kind of contract for someone so unproven.

Added to that u pay a mil for mitchel because he has done it all and proved himself on the biggest stages, ad for half his price hasnt cemented a first grade spot.

Now I like ad think his handy but im not paying him the same amount for him when i can get a.proven wrecker in by.
