I just find it interesting that if Bennett rates a Douehi so much why was he the first player to be shown the door after they signed Mitchell? Douehi has more upside than both Johnston and Gagai, who are heading towards the end of their careers, why wouldn’t they have been tapped on the shoulder first instead?

Because they got LM...a once in a generation talent. Crowe wanted him also...Crowe stated LM may well be their biggest ever signing.

This is what people are missing...Souths LOVE Douehei...Bennet LOVES Douehei...it is only an absolute aberration presenting itself to them in LM as to why Douehei is even available to us.

We have finally hit some good luck....a young kid the elite coaches love, who happens to be happy to come to us and is available due to a freak taking his spot.

And yet we sit on our hands.

Honestly, when the kid has a great game for the Storm and Bellamy sits and smirks, you can all come back and ask "why?".

Re AJ...he does not want to go.

Re Gagai...no one wants his club form for 750 000.

Douehei is the one as teams DO want him.

So many people on here underestimate how good the kid is.

We are talking potential. And I'm not prepared to pay overs for potential. If the sky is the limit, why are Souths prepared to let him go ?

Everyone was gagging for us to sign Drinkwater. If he was so good why did Melbourne let him go?

When you have a surplus of talent in one area you don’t hang on to everyone. That’s the game.

Thats true - and if no one takes AD, AJ or DG off their hands they are royally screwed. Pretty poor roster management if you ask me. They may get lucky and offload one but it doesn't mean they managed it well.

Geez Glenn seriously? It has been widely reported he is highly rated by Bennett (it’s why he played him fullback last year) and Bennett knows he wants to play 1 or 6. They signed him up thinking he’d be their long term fullback/five eighth but then LM comes along and Walker is re-signed. Bennett doesn’t want to stifle his career so he’s told him he’s free to move elsewhere in order to play his position as that is what Doueihi wants.

He’s a great player but they have One if the best players in the game at fullback and a very good, long term 5/8. It would be stupid of them to retain Doueihi. He’s not a centre and he’s not a winger and I have no idea why people keep calling him a utility.

He was coming back from an ACL and is 20 years old. Remember when Tedesco played wing for us when he came back from injury? They fit him in the team where they needed him and then he CEMENTED the fullback spot through excellent play.

Long term reader finally made an account this news on AD has me fuming firstly AD is a 21 year old spine player who is on 500-600k on his current deal that is the average pay for a member of the spine why is the ceo having a nightmare about this price but when his best mate ivan puts 29year olds on 750k + deals he is fine with it ? You can see whats going to happen already AD ends up at storms even tho he wants to be a tiger and JAC ends up with the rabbits as it is the heart of his culture... who do we end up with a winger playing fullback who is 30 years old, nothing against CT but long term he isnt the answer to our fullback if the AD doesnt get done im going to tweet at mr pascoe every day till he stands down.
