Grant has a three year Storm contract.

Smith will retire end of this year.

Grant is going back to Melb. That is absolutely certain IMO.

His intrust profile has his birth place as Rockhampton.

Yeppoon and Emu Park are just outside of Rocky, he was born in Rocky and went to school in Yeppoon and played for the Yeppoon Seagulls growing up!

He would of gone to St Brendans , it is the rugby league school in CQ ...fairly select alumni from Brendans

Yes he did!

Not sure if any of you remember, but Harry was the player who made his debut against Manly - he was the person between/amidst the Walker v Scott fight.
I do know that he's highly touted and that he also played alongside the young Trindall lad from Wee Waa (who's at Newtown/Sharks).

Love Momorovski and his efforts, so hope things go well for him.

Cams been meant to retire for the last three years atleast

And what happens if Cammy hangs around for yet another year? Does Harry (Carey) Grant stay at the Tigers for a second year?...All hypothetically speaking of course.

I would assume Liddle and or Simpkins would be ready by then.

Starting centre for a 3rd string backup hooker. Fair value NOT...

Gotta be more elements to this deal

Why? 3rd string behind the best hooker to ever play the game and his apprentice of many years, the NZ hooker...We have other options at centre - Leilua, Talau, Mbye, Jennings - we have very little by way of quality options at hooker and hooker is clearly the more important position.

I agree hooker is a concern for this season but I don't like weakening other positions to strengthen one. Our outside back depth would again be thin with this deal and to top it off we;re stuffed with goalkicking now (worst conversion % in the league last year) unless this kid can kick goals

As people have stated,if Tommy T looks the goods is there even room for momo?

Tommy T by 2021 will be automatic.

BJ on the other side.

No spot for Momo, who I really like but is too slow / smallish long term.

This deal HAS to include JAC for us. We need to ensure that we get him...

I think we need to remember that Talau and BJ both play on the right edge. The little bit I saw of Talau in Flegg last year was that he was a handful and was able to offload well to the faster men outside. BJ most likely the same but it was a bit strange that we recruited a right edge centre when we already had Tommy notwithstanding having depth can be a good thing. Whether Talau can switch and still be as effective time will tell.

Otherwise, when Momo comes back he goes to left centre and Talau on the right wing but then what about pace and Tommy is wasted there in my opinion. We then have (hopefully) a super quick left wing JAC but then not so quick on the right?

Even if it's only one year, I'd be STOKED to have Harry Grant. He is the best young hooker I've seen since Cameron Smith and Robbie Farah came through. His Q Cup stats are simply off the charts. He has a try and try assist rate of about 0.8 (8/10 games he scores and sets up a try). Average run metres are around 100 per game. Matthew Johns absolutely loves him and can't stop talking about how good he's going to be.

he'll play 13. providing he moves to WT for 2020, Grant will be banging down the door at Melbourne and he won't even be there

Yeah if Grant kicks on I'd say the Storm would be more than happy with 9. Grant 13. B. Smith. Smaller locks are doing well in the game at the moment - Murray, Radley, Tevaga and B. Smith who has already been spending minutes there when sharing the field with C. Smith.

The NRL lacks any clear governance, everything is up to that moron with a solar panel for a head. They will probably find a way to sink the deal.

Honestly I think you'll find they have clear governance, the governance being that the NRL CEO can make executive decisions.

Imagine being Super League, they don't have control over the machinations of their clubs.

True. Replace clear with "good "

Leilua played on the left at Newcastle, but he has played his best footy on the right at Canberra so I'd say he'll play there.

They still got B. Smith who is a gun at 9

It is all about on field success and nothing else matters ..do what needs to be done , this needs to be a successful season . The swap deal is a good one worry about 2021 later down the track !

FWIW
Someone on twitter saying Doueihi has in fact signed with Tigers. Apparently souths forum confirming same.

Who knows?

Well there is absolutely room for a decent player for someone who can kick goals. Has Madge or anyone else got someone in mind? It is useless to an NRL team to play a whole season without a competent goalkicker. Two points for a conversion or penalty can win or lose matches can win or lose matches in a close competition, Dare I say it but it can also be the difference between making or not making the semi finals.

Would he be the missing goal kicker and fullbacker we have been looking for? Yes!

Interesting, who said that (on twitter)?

As I sad on the AD Thread: if AD has signed with us - which is a massive assumption and only based on the report from someone on the SS Forum - then I suspect it is more likely that he caved and accepted the best deal that the Tigers put on the table and preferred that deal than having to front up to training and playing under a coach who has said he will not have a starting spot. Alternatively, he may have accepted a revised and different deal with another Club - who knows. The only thing that appears to have some truth to it is that he has told his team mates that he is not playing at SS. Players do not do that unless they have accepted an offer elsewhere.
