Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

If I were Bellyache I'd be insisting on a quality young gun like Talau as part of any trade for Addo-Carr and that's a bridge too far in my opinion! He won't accept just anyone we might want to move on.

Talau is still an unknown. Keep in mind everyone was raving about Marsters when he came into first grade

This new 2 for 1 swap talk reminds me of a deal a few years back where, as I recall, we wanted to move on Bryce Gibbs to the Sharks and they agreed to take him but only if we threw in Andrew Fifita-which we did!

As long as either way all the lovers and haters of Saab realize he is still just potential .....as many players in their 1st 50 games they'll have great days ...and they'll have shockers

One thing he did do right last night was he put a step on Radley when he was looking to blindside him. We know who came out of that best.

Bulldogs apparently looking to sign Cotric we would be stupid to not try sign him

He is a good player but he is NSW country through and through from Cooma. He won't leave so we need to devote our resources to realistic targets.

He actually has family in Sydney and he also has his car at a performance place in Western Sydney currently getting work done.

That is interesting about his car, I live in Sydney and take my rotary Mazda to. a rotary specialist in Fyswick.

We should get BJ to call him and encourage him over.

Using BJ's as inducements will likely be frowned upon.

Melbourne Storm and Wests Tigers are reportedly weighing up another swap deal that could involve Josh Addo-Carr, with the Origin speedster seeking a move back to Sydney next season.

The two players are due to return to their respective clubs next season, however, according to The Australian's Brent Read, Melbourne may look to re-negotiate the deal and involve Addo-Carr.

The superstar winger dropped a bombshell in the off-season when he requested a release from the final two years of his contract to enable him to move home to Sydney where his family reside.

The Storm denied the Kangaroos and NSW Blues star an immediate release, but agreed to let him go after the 2020 season.

There have been strong links between Addo-Carr and his former club the Tigers since the release request was made, and Read told Triple M the Storm potentially ask to keep Momirovski permanently along with another player in exchange for 'The Foxx'.

"This is one that's been simmering away beneath the surface for quite a while now," Read said on Triple M Saturday.

"There's talk about him [Addo-Carr] wanting to move back to Sydney and he's got a deal still at Melbourne for at least another year and I reckon this is going to come to a head pretty soon.

"It's interesting last night Paul Momirovski had such a huge game for the Melbourne Storm, scored three tries and it was the first glimpse of him in a Storm jersey, he was outstanding.

"The Tigers are a club who are interested in Josh Addo-Carr. If Melbourne are going to let him got they'll want a player in return.

"I imagine Momirovski might be a bloke that might fit that build, I imagine they'll want someone else to sweeten the deal but Momirovski certainly gave himself a helping hand with that performance."
Addo-Carr joined Melbourne from the Tigers ahead of the 2017 season and has gone on to become a mainstay of the Blues and Kangaroos squads and with 65 tries in 90 NRL games has firmed as one of the game's most prolific wingers.

While a return to the Tigers has always been considered a strong possibility, with the Tigers having now let go of Corey Thompson, the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs have also been linked to the 24-year-old's signature.

Mbye would be a perfect move.

For mine, Mbye is one of the more capable guys in the backline.

Should be at $800k per season

The money is irrelevant. When they run on the field, it only matters what each player can do. Those decisions weere made by morons no longer at the club, what is done is done. The job now is to get the most out of each player not value. Mbye offers more than most in our backline.

I reckon Bellyache would have eyes on a guy like Alex Twal. Highly disciplined, defensively strong and still young enough to mould. Luci is still young and only getting better - he could be a possibility

Storm have already poached a few good up and comers from us.

But ado Carr is the best winger in the game and wingers are very important these days

I’d fork out 500k plus

On current form he isn't in the Top 5 in the game imo

Nowhere near his best form

Runs hard ....few blokes we have could learn a lot in that regard alone

If we lost bRooks, Twal or Lucy for JAC, Ill give it away.

What’s all this trade talk - we don’t have a trade system. Either Storm release him or they don’t but the club should say we’re not trading anyone regardless of the deal.

No trade - tell Bellamy to go to hell.

Momo comes back at the end of the year.

Apart from the known duds we want to get rid of, that Bellamy wouldn't take, why should we give him anybody else. Addo Carr has a release for 2021, if he wants to come here, good. If he doesn't, tough.

I think he is close to fastest in the backline (faint praise) and IMO has the best pass of all of them. Also showed last week that although not reliable probably the best goal kicker we have.

Strong defender too. He’s a very good player, just despised by many because he’s on so much money.

If true, you got two top coaches that rate Momo, seem silly to let him go. Didn't they already agreed JAC will get a release anyway next season?

It’s very unlikely we sign players of Addo Carrs stature unless there is a deal and extension worked out at club level. I’d do it for Momirovski and send a youngster down there on a loan deal for development like Kane Bradley.
