I don't think we need Elliot, particularly if we land some like CHN. Elliot isn't an impact player either so I don't think you gain a lot by playing him off the bench. There's more upside in Sam McIntyre who boasts a similar work ethic and drive.

More importantly it strengthens our bench as well, that’s where we’ve struggled this year. Never thought I’d say this but I hope the club keeps McIntyre and Eisenhuth

Would be out of rehab by the time pre season status right? The risk is re injury but there would be a long break so they could take rehab slow and strengthen his shoulder back up. It is a risk though

Nothing we have not already heard.

Doubtful CHN will get clearance this year but he will be back 2021. Very likely he will be here.

The JAC situation is very interesting and could really go to Souths, Dogs or Tigers. Reality around JAC is that Souths are his preferred destination but would be happy to come back to the Tigers or go to the dogs. Dogs offer is the biggest, Souths are his preferred and Tigers have the most preferable offer to Melbourne (not sure exactly what it is though). So it could go any of three ways... Dragons are interested but there is on interest on JACs end.

I guess that would be an option but I did read where Bellamy really respects Madge and seems happy to do a deal with Madge ahead of just releasing a player to anyone so just wait and see

If we were able to strike a deal with JAC through the storm though surely we would try and get a longer deal than he has with the storm now rather than have him for a year to help him get back to Sydney than see him run off to the wabbits

I really don't know if I want him. Johnston is still very quick and has no defensive issues, and will almost certainly cost us $300k less. also comes with zero baggage and has a great relationship with Madge. I know who I'd rather.

All up to madge. Elliot can also play second row and we definitely need an upgrade in that department, MCK or Lawrence on the bench ain’t good enough

Elliott is quality. Good leg speed, tough and high work rate. Mid level expense only. Yes from me. CHN would be a welcome addition to provide additional potency to the edges. Top priority as others have said is strike out wide (ideally goal kicker too).

Elliot's quality. Would play 80mins for us and be leader. Of particular value is his tackling, strong at slowing play the ball consistently. Also a good runner. On a team that has nothing he still plays hard and is good.
