This talk of Saab being a dud is absolutely ludicrous. A 19 year old kid, with 6 career games playing in a lackluster side...

For sometime now it's been very clear what we need most is a winger with size and speed. Saab fits the bill just as good as any.

With some solid coaching Saab will flourish into a Daniel Tupou like player over the next few years.

I hope you're right and having seen his defence he's going to need it. There's more to wing than just size. Not saying he can't develop but at 20 years of age (he is almost 20), you should have worked most of those things out by then. If we do get him, then let's hope Madge can turn him into a Tupou - that would be wonderful.

Look at Luciano who could be in the running for rep selection. You need to look more deeply than what he is displaying now. Get him in a tough environment where he needs to work hard. Think of basic training in the armed forces.

no doubting his pedigree, but I think the dogs are well and truly the front runner here. his current attack coach moving over there full time and they'll sell him the dream of being the dominant playmaker for the next decade. throw in the fact that they could throw any sum of money at him and I think it would be increasingly difficult to prise him away from the dogs or the Panthers any time soon.

I said a month a go Benji wanted to play next year, I was told it won’t happen.
Rest assure if we are stupid enough to let him play on, we will start next year with him as our starting 6, he has never played reserve grade here.
I cannot begin to say how ridiculous this would be, is it any wonder top line players won’t come here.
It will be 2021 and we will be relying on a 36 year old five eighth who signed for a 1 year swan song in 2018, and people say SBW is to old and past it to sign.

Sadly mate I am not so sure, Benji wants to play on, we should say no retire on top, but we won’t, this would be a huge step back after all our progress

Could they cut someone who is injured for the year, and sign them up on a new contract from next year, making sure in the interim that their expenses are 'taken care of'?

I just mentioned we should sign Benji up for another 5 years. He appears to be our best half at the moment. It's seem stupid not to keep him here. He has proved he will play reserve grade as well.

When has he proved it, he played reserve grade at Brisbane, but they moved him on in 2017, he has never done it here, and by god he has deserved to

In my mind, Madge should be using Marshall to sub the underperforming half with. Being Brooks he named him as half but he didn’t play him on the same side as Brooks.
It seams as though Marshall and Reynolds will be interchangeable on the right and Walters and Brooks will be interchangeable on the left.
Strange thing is Walters is a right foot kicker and a better in game kicker than Marshall yet he was still played on the blind side that Brooks has been restricted too when he plays alongside Marshall...

I personally couldn’t see a problem with it as Benji hasn’t been starting for the past 4 weeks so a move to the left to replace Brooks seemed fair, considering he got named at Halfback also. But yeah it appears Walters has his spot until he stuffs up or Brooks runs rings around them at training...

Yeah they've got a few options in the halves with Cleary, Luai and Tyrone May back in the picture. They don't mind smaller back rowers at the Panthers either.
