Joey is a pea heart. How he and Lucy are related is a mystery.

There's a lot of pea heart'ness flowing through the game this year.

Fair enough that BJ can do what he wants and what's best for his fam. But you'd hope the club has conditions in place which protect it from paying salaries **IF** players break protocol and go walk-about (This is assuming his walk-out was unannounced)

Hey, maybe let’s not hate on Joey for leaving for family reasons when we don’t know what happened. Family comes first over everything and fingers crossed whatever he’s left for isn’t too serious

If it’s so serious, why hasn’t his brother gone with him?

They both still have seperate lives apart from each other.

Seperate families too?

Would expect AJ to come in and Moses/Talau to hop into that vacant centre spot.

Would think Lawrence covers the centres again and Blore comes onto the bench.

Because Joey has his own wife and kids and family?

And they live in Canberra, while Joey lives in Sydney? Odd.

They were in Sydney with him... wife and kids were having a hard time coping with covid and everything so Joey drove them back to Canberra according to the SMH. Can’t blame a man for looking after his wife and kids.

? Lawrence is probably more athletic than Holland and Lafai. Blore has to keep playing if anyone looks like they can rise to become a strike player for us it’s this kid. Won’t happen this year but the more experience the better.

Rugby league: Roger Tuivasa-Sheck considering leaving New Zealand Warriors - reports - NZ Herald

I believe he is looking at Union but maybe a healthy pay cheque and a chance to play under the NZ rugby league coach could entice him over
Lets say $1,200,000 a season on a 3 to 4 year deal

Glad your not in charge of recruitment

Well RTS at 1.2 million would be a bargain if we were offering Latrell Mitchell that same figure
Need I say more

Remember a couple of years back we were rumoured to be chasing RTS and people didn't want him because we had Tui. Crazy times.

There will always be Na sayers for every player
Regardless of how good they might be
Wether its to much $
Or the no DH policy
Or because they ? on the club
Or because we lack quality in other positions
Or because they are to small
To slow
To old
Can't pass
To many injuries
To many suspensions
We would have more luck finding the tooth fairy

Pass.

Why's That Russ? He looks a great prospect.

Just don't think we need a centre, think we need to cover the halves and a
second rower, maybe a prop, before worrying about another centre.

Yes, we have a few holes to fill. i wouldn't know where to start.

Why would Holbrook help us out.
Smart coach.

We have to face it, rubbish article or not the only players of interest will be Packer and Brooks.
Maybe BJ may help us out if his over it and decides to leave to join another club.

Fiery centre Joey Leilua has stunned the Wests Tigers by taking leave from the club just days before their must-win game against Canterbury on Sunday.

News Corp has learnt Leilua told officials on Wednesday he had to leave the bubble for family reasons.

It is understood he has since returned to be with his extended family in Canberra.

Kent: Why McGregor sacking is not the answer to Dragons woes

By doing so, he has broken the game’s biosecurity protocols, which means he will be sidelined for at least 14 days if he returns to the bubble.

However, it is unclear if Leilua plans on returning this year.

The Tigers have informed the NRL of Leilua’s actions.

He and his brother Luciano joined the Tigers in 2020 to play alongside each other in the NRL for the first time.

While Luciano’s signing from St George Illawarra has been a resounding success, it has been mixed bag for his older brother, who joined the club after playing in last year’s grand final for Canberra.

The 28-year-old had only just returned in the Tigers’ last-start loss to Newcastle after serving a four-game suspension for a shocking hit on Penrith’s Dylan Edwards.

He had been named to start at centre against the last-placed Bulldogs this weekend.

The 10th-placed Tigers are four points outside of the top eight and face an uphill battle to end a nine-year finals drought.

**If Leilua remains with the Tigers beyond this season, they will have just $300,000 to spend next year should the club fail in a bid to offload one of four highly paid players that are in the firing line.**

GG Nofo :call_me_hand: I assume this is including his East to West run mtrs

RTS tries to inspire his team by taking lots of runs at the middle of a set defence. I think he would be better off saving that energy for support play and attacking out wide.

He is one of the best fullbacks in the game and is only 27, unfortunately he wan't to quit the Tamworth Warriors so he can live in NZ.

So who on this forum knows the correct number of spots left in our roster for next season (assuming benji and lawrence do not stay)? I have read everything from 22 to 27 players signed (I believe the latter included extending Huth and McIntyre) If 27 is correct then we may well have very little cap space left and could explain shy we dont seem to active in the available player market.
