Pretty sure PVL said that he would not suspend Flanno's ban ages ago.

I'd say Payten but I reckon he has the Cowboys gig.

Probably turn down the cows and go for the dragons now. Seems true to his form

Why the dislike for Payten? He always comes across as an intelligent and articulate man. He played well for us and his skills for a forward unbelievable. He has been a favourite of mine.

Do some research Payten is a grub and a white ? You are obviously new to the forum !

No but whom did he white ant?

If Maguire wasn't coach, I'd be very pleased to have him. Why? I believe he would bring back our attacking football that WTs historically have played.

Because he instigated all the player trouble we have never recovered from as an assistant coach here. Pretty simple. He riled up Marshall and Farah and a few more to get rid of sheens in an effort to get the top gig.

It’s been discussed quite a bit over the years.

Such a shame as he was a great player for us and could have been a great coach.

Now he’s just the white and that stuffed us. Right up there with Elias, his relative moses the agent and the dickhead Cleary for me.

I tend to agree. He seems to a good coach. Certainly getting the Warriors playing well.

Lots of numbers being bandied around here, so I thought I'd show what I have put together. No doubt you can nit pick each one but surely it's got some logic. Please don't come back with "Nofo wouldn't be on $450k", although I'm happy to hear well supported views to improve this further

2021 I have pencilled in 3 minimum players, as well as low $ extensions for Benji, Eiso & McIntyre so that's 6 for $950k (in BLUE) which is bargain basement stuff
People can argue these and that's fine but unless you have some low $ players it doesn't work

In my view we are under around $380k in 2020 so you'd redirect that to players extended in 2020 that were already under contract for 2020

That would mean we'd have around $1.4m ($380k + $1,055k) for the remaining three players to be signed

Just curious why you've included the likes of benji, Clark, Smith and Seyfarth in blue. Everyone in blue would surely be cut, maybe McIntyre survives.

I disagree with some of the prices but some may be higher, some lower so maybe it balances out. You've probably overstated a fair few though.

Clark, Smith & Seyfarth I have in blue as they would be replaced by other bottom dollar options

Benji, Eiso & McIntyre are all possible cuts or cheap continue with, it's just a maybe approach given they aren't signed for 2021

You do need cheap options for 2021to replace cheap options which are expiring

Also, could be I've overstated some but that would effectively mean we would be even more underspent on the 2020 cap which whilst possible gets to an almost negligent level of underspend, so I'm doubtful

Why's That Russ? He looks a great prospect.

Just don't think we need a centre, think we need to cover the halves and a
second rower, maybe a prop, before worrying about another centre.

I read that link about Potter. From all accounts, Potter is a decent man.

Does anyone recall the game against Manly at Gosford and we were winning midway into the second half? As I recall, Potter interchanged Farah whom had been basically conducting the game. It was an almighty tactical error. Even the commentary team were shocked. We ended up losing because as soon as Farah left the field, Manky took control.

I'm still unsure if it was Potter attempting to make his mark on Farah but I believed then his days were numbered.

I know Payten won an U20s GF for us and is a smart operator and good clubman.

Fiery centre Joey Leilua has stunned the Wests Tigers by taking leave from the club just days before their must-win game against Canterbury on Sunday.

News Corp has learnt Leilua told officials on Wednesday he had to leave the bubble for family reasons.

It is understood he has since returned to be with his extended family in Canberra.

By doing so, he has broken the game’s biosecurity protocols, which means he will be sidelined for at least 14 days if he returns to the bubble.

However, it is unclear if Leilua plans on returning this year.

The Tigers have informed the NRL of Leilua’s actions.

He and his brother Luciano joined the Tigers in 2020 to play alongside each other in the NRL for the first time.

While Luciano’s signing from St George Illawarra has been a resounding success, it has been mixed bag for his older brother, who joined the club after playing in last year’s grand final for Canberra.

The 28-year-old had only just returned in the Tigers’ last-start loss to Newcastle after serving a four-game suspension for a shocking hit on Penrith’s Dylan Edwards.

He had been named to start at centre against the last-placed Bulldogs this weekend.

The 10th-placed Tigers are four points outside of the top eight and face an uphill battle to end a nine-year finals drought.

If Leilua remains with the Tigers beyond this season, they will have just $300,000 to spend next year should the club fail in a bid to offload one of four highly paid players that are in the firing line.

Hey, maybe let’s not hate on Joey for leaving for family reasons when we don’t know what happened. Family comes first over everything and fingers crossed whatever he’s left for isn’t too serious
