3 Containers is a full house to me.. They also might of sold the house and the furniture is going into storage until they return after season / Covid. I hope he plays on at Storm so one of the hookers come on the market.

I can't see the Storm playing out of Melbourne next year.

SMH is reporting that Brandon Smiths management has told Melbourne if Cameron Smith plays on, he will be requesting a release from Melbourne, and Harry has the clause in his contract. Surely Melbourne will be giving Cam the tap on the shoulder, two rising stars isn’t worth one more year from Cameron.

So whats the story if Cam moves on? Brandon is a great player, but is he the be all and end all when it comes to hooker/dummy half? I don't know, he's definately a player you want who adds a hell of a lot to a team, but i think he's kind of a forward utility.

The article says Brandon is happy to fight for the spot against Harry. Both are quality starting dummy halves, one will move on if not next year then 2022 I reckon but who knows

B Smith is a useful player but Grant is a gilt edged, lock him in for a decade player at one of the most important spots on the roster. There's no way Melbourne let him go.

The nrl really can't change the sizes of squads at this late stage. Would be highly unethical... Many clubs have already filled 80-90% of their 30man rosters. Had they known rosters would be smaller certain contracts would never have been signed.
They've already acted unethically in introducing major changes to the rules mid season. The money is still there for clubs, why on earth would they make drastic changes now when clubs have no flexibility to respond.

If they want to change squad sizes it must be for the 2022 season. That would be fair. Anything else is madness.

But then Vlandys is a dictator and like Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon he'll use his toxic power to make up the rules as he goes.

Changing rules midseason in not unusual for Rugby League, some of our biggest rule changes have been midseason.

We then need to play Madden or Mmbye at 7 and Reynolds or Walters at 6
However in doing this trade we would keep Harry Grant a future Qld and Kangaroo number 9 and we can put Momo in the centres.
Before everyone starts yes players have to want to move and all that and b. trading Nofo is like killing bambi to some on this forum but Melbourne are not going to go for
Mmbye, Rowdy, Joey Leiluia or Reynolds etc.

Agree with swaps the player has to want to go to melbourne but what does Madge say you are not in our future plans etc, we will play you in reserve grade etc.
Secondly you need to actually offer players a team wants or needs. Only options for JAC to storm on a trade would likely be Brooks, talau, Nofo, Blore or Luciano maybe Douhie. I doubt storm would do a deal for any other olayer and then we would have to weigh up would you want to lose them.

Its common knowledge Smiths wife has been looking for home on the GC and the family relocated to Qld when the Storm went North. Jeez i mean i would relocate to Qld too if my family would have a bar of it. If Smith plays on i hope it is with Melbourne, not because it frees up players, but because it would be 20 years in the NRL at one club and i don't care who you like, hate, support or wish misery upon, that is an amazing achievement.

Eisenhuth gone huh. That's disappointing. He's finally kicked on in his 4th year with us. Seems a waste to invest so much time in his development only for another club to reap the rewards. I think he'll do well wherever he ends up.

Club wants to retain him but has been asked to be patient while roster is turned over a little bit understand that if something comes along from another club that he needs to look after himself.

Sorry for all the questions, what’s the club doing player retention wise? Obviously it’s hard with next year being uncertain of squad sizes but surely they are at least in early discussion with some guys who are free to talk to other clubs come November

Only 2 players off contract in 2021 have had extensions discussed (Aloiai & Twal) but early days.

In regards to the squad size has the nrl set a date to decide
