You are misrepresenting the position of supporters who oppose the suggestion that we should give up Talau to get JAC.

You are suggesting that we believe that Talau is a better footballer than JAC, or that he will certainly become a better footballer. I haven't seen anybody suggest that.

The issue is how much should we as a club be expected to give up to get the deal over the line.

I'm happy to pay marquee money to get JAC, but that's it. We shouldn't have to give up a promising junior as well.

We've made enough mistakes with our signings in the past I think we should forget this bloke...all his good years are behind him, and we certainly don't want to give up any of our promising youngsters...stop the rot now😕

Further to the above..if Storm are sniffing around Talau we should keep him if they want him they must think he's pretty good:+1:

They also accepted Momo on a year loan, they must see him as pretty good also.

If we want him to play FB - we will have to pay far too much anyway, let alone adding a top junior.

He would not be worth half that. Rather have Johnston, or maybe Staines, if we are desperate for a FB.

I don't think we are, I think we already have one, so we are only looking for a winger with speed.

JAC does not have anything else to offer. 500k should be more than enough - if not, we do to him what he did to us. See ya!

I with you Russell, but I would be prepared to pay $550k tops as winger only. At the same time or as an alternative, I would be prepared to pay $250k to $275k for Staines as winger / fullback option.

After the bulldogs game he was kicking them pretty well. He’s no 80% kicker but he’d be better than Mbye I think, hopefully Moses keeps his form from last week off the boot tho

After the bulldogs game he was kicking them pretty well. He’s no 80% kicker but he’d be better than Mbye I think, hopefully Moses keeps his form from last week off the boot tho

Last year including ISP he was 68%. He's not a good enough kicker for first grade, nor is Mbye. Should be a priority for next year.

Im inclined to agree Mbye is no better than Momo either in general play or goal kicking, if we compare what the two are paid im not sure of the exact figures but the gap would be vast. So Momo is far better value than Mbye but the issue is how do you get rid of a white elephant like Mbye?

Pretty sure under the NRL guidelines players cannot swap teams after the deadline that has passed. It is different if you sign a player not on a contract for the season. Example was if TPJ got release / sacked not team could sign him until next year.

Hope reports today that Super League is after Josh Reynolds is true. I think we are stuck with Mbye but could be a great Number 14. So appears Bunty, JAC and maybe Staines are 2021 inclusions. Like very much. Funny to read Cowboys are shopping our former Muppet Esan Masters. What a lazy player he is. I don't think he would have many takers unless Bellamy can turn his career around.

i woukd trade Nofo for JAC - we can use a hoffman or somerhing or Mommo. Nofo will be pushing in next contract for a price upgrade so woukd we keep him then
I would trade Talau for JAC - Mommo can take the spot, yes we lose potential but our last 9 years have been full of potential
i would trade Brooks for JAC - however be happy to play Madden at 7 or go with a Mmbye 7 and AD 6
JAC represents more than just a fullback or a winger he represents a current international and shows the nrl we are a good destination for rep players.

You really don't like Nofo do you? We honestly are not even close to the team we are this season without him and that's including his defense deficiencies. Trading Brooks for a winger who has never played a game at fullback is ludicrous. Don't believe we actually need to trade anyone JAC is the one wanting to come to Sydney. If anyone was to be traded its Momo or Talau only...anyone else is terrible cap management.

Edit: The idea should be we are strengthening that left wing spot. Don't weaken a successful right hand winger just to replace him with another successful one. We need to be aiming for JAC one wing and Nofo the other - attacking options and speed both sides of the field.

Staines could be good for us - wants 350k at least - a lot cheaper and younger than JAC. and has played FB.

Well usually when you go shopping for..say a house? You can see the value.
If both players were on say $400k, and vying for the same position, then I would chose Tommy.
