Look, I’m not against JAC. Infact I want him at the Tigers, but 800k is too much especially with no good fwds or halves to give him the ball! I would rather pick up Welch for that price imo. Staines and Burton together would be an enormous pickup!

He won’t get $800k. Probably max $600k

Realistically I think he'll cost $700k. If Cotric is 650k, JAC is more than him, plus he's going to play the fullback card.

It helps if we have no competition though

We'll be offering him a fullback start .. but for around $600K with and upgrade each year if required and if he goes well as a fullback.

JAC won’t solve our on field problems instantly but he’s a quality player and it would be our first big name signing in forever (can’t remember the last time we signed a current origin player) and it shows other big name players that we are a club you can come to.

He’s also a very hard worker and a great fella players love to play with. We still need to upgrade our halves but it would be great to see us actually picking up a top quality player

It only shows big named players you can sign for us if he continues to make rep squads. If he signs for us and never get picked for NSW again, it may have the reverse effect that if you sign with us it kills your rep chances.

No other clubs are after him so i'd give us a good chance. Maybe 20-25%.

I would also go after Greg Lelesiauo! Can’t understand for the life of me why the Titans don’t give him a chance! He was the leading metre eater and tackle breaker in the entire Canterbury Cup comp. Deadset impossible to tackle and would be cheap as chips! Him and Nofoaluma on either wing would go real well

With his kind of pace he only needs a half chance. He might not score as many but he’s still gonna be a quality player

Any potential signings must be watching the last 7 weeks and see us barely scrape past the dogs ...thrash Brisbane and then suffer 5 losses ...throw in we haven't beaten a side that was in the Top 8 at the time .......

Any supporter of the WT's deserves to be awarded the VC

The Dogs are a rabble as are the Titans as the Broncos. They can all sign players. Money trumps everything else.

This is a funny one isn't it. The vast majority of players are just after the money. I honestly have no idea what Latrell was thinking.

Telegraph reporting Dogs have pulled out of trying to sign JAC due to the number of outside backs they have and also the big $$ signing of Cotric,leaving Tigers the only team interested

Really that should mean we don’t have to pay crazy overs. He’s the one pushing for a move to Sydney and we are almost his only choice right now. Give him $500k a season

That should be the top figure that we offer him. Do you want to come here and prove yourself. Well sign that more than fair contract.

I’m struggling to understand the BJ Leilua signing. I’ve given it time hoping he finds his feet but he doesn’t align with the coaching style of Madge - erratic and doesn’t play for the 80. One of the best things he did at the Raiders was dummy half runs and he doesn’t even do them anymore. A few more years with him just extends our pain. Super League please come calling

I agree with the Momo bit but BJ doesn't get many opportunities. He was killing it when JR was inside him, as was Nofo but with Benji running sideways nothing is ever going to happen out wide.

This time a million, as plain as day I would have thought, our right side looked slick with Grub at 6 and Benji in the grandstand

I agree with the Momo bit but BJ doesn't get many opportunities. He was killing it when JR was inside him, as was Nofo but with Benji running sideways nothing is ever going to happen out wide.

If grub didn’t get suspended I think he would still be there

We dodged a $1.25mil bullet with Fatso rejecting us for the Bunnies .. JAC deserves a decent portion of that - we need a game breaker, enough of the frugal, broken, homeless recruits. I want some hope when we’re on our own goal line with 20 seconds remaining, I want to know someone in our team is capable of racing 99.9 metres to win the game.

Christian Welch last 2 games against Roosters and Parramatta combined:
37 runs for 356m, 63 tackles

Russell Packer last 2 games against Bulldogs & Roosters combined:
40 tackles, 12 runs for 93m

Christian Welch needs to be a priority BUY imo! Tough as old boots, great offload and takes anyone on without fear! Arguably the best fwd in QLD.Then get Staines and Burton as value buys instead of JAC.
