Not Broncos who have been shot all year with 3 wins and a squad of rep players

TBF if you haven’t seen media reporting on the Broncos’ woes this year you must have been living on Mars.

I have seen it all but I added them to my list because as soon at Seboult quit / parted ways there has been nothing in the media despite them still losing and team not getting along..
I would hate to see what would happen to us if we were actually on the bottom of the ladder.

Im honestly a bit saddened at ET leaving i've really admired the way hes worn the tigers jersey while he's been here.

He has been really solid the last few weeks. In fact one of our better players whenever he is on the field.
He seems to have gotten rid of his penalties, He's a workhorse, and a model professional. its nice to have players like that in a squad.

Agree.
ET has always been a player that would give 100%

In saying that I do think his time with us has come to an end & with he/his family all the best.

ET to me is the type of player you want in your squad. He does everything right. If he was bigger or faster or more dynamic with the ball he'd be a great player.

Id' have him in my team for sure. He mightn't win you games but at least he isn't missing tackles and losing you games.

Honestly I would have at least made ET a small offer. He's good for the squad and doesn't shy away from work at all.

I reckon he’s really trying to make it work. Cut out the penalties. Slows the play the ball and a smart footballer. He’s just not a big guy.

Agree. I've always rated him down because of the excessive penalties, but you can tell he has appeared to make an effort in correcting this. Apart from that you could never fault him on effort, he can get us moving forward and is a good defender.

when Cleary left and only 3 have been sacked in the past 9 years.

When you say 3 have been sacked, are you including Potter ? My recollection is that he finished his contract and was not extended. Strictly speaking JT is the only coach to have been sacked since Sheens.

Well I'm using a debating strategy known as the "even if" approach. So "even if" I accept the basis of the journos argument, I can show that it's still not correct.

Sacking or not renewing Potter is splitting hairs in terms of the argument being made, that Tigers "end coaches". Cleary is different, he left despite Tigers wanting to keep him, same as Souths and Seibold.

I like him also but I imagine this has as much to do with salary cap as retaining flexibility in the roster. From memory he was on $450k - $475k a season?

Not that easy. The NRL are reducing the number of contracts down to 28 from 30. So it’s not only cap space that is a issue but also roster spots. It’s why they are letting Benji go. Things could change if Grub Packer and Moses M find a new home and we are only paying half or less of the freight.

I agree and what I have noticed this year compare to last year is that he actually tries to make running metres. He gives 110% every week for effort and a lot could learn from him..

But if we don't resign ET, then who is going to give all our penalties away?

I refer you to the post from @Zach several below this quoted post, as well as others over the past few weeks. In that period, Elijah has returned as a player reformed during his hiatus, performing as good as any and adjusted to this mid season's ruck rules change.

Is that in concrete..

Have seen nothing official from the NRL in that regard..

Wests Tigers have tabled Josh Addo-Carr a multimillion-dollar, four-year deal but the challenge of finding Melbourne a replacement continues after Alex Johnston said he wants to remain in Sydney.

NRL.com understands that the Tigers offer for Addo-Carr to play fullback has made them the leading contender for his services.

The deal would see Addo-Carr return to the Tigers - where he debuted five seasons ago - until the end of 2025.

The Wests Tigers are yet to make an official announcement on the matter.

It's believed that other Sydney-based sides have also registered offers with Addo-Carr's new manager Mario Tartak, though he declined to comment when contacted by NRL.com on Monday.

As well as Addo-Carr, it's expected Panthers veteran James Tamou will make a call on his future soon after being pursued as a potential leader of the Tigers young front-row cohort.

Addo-Carr's release from his Storm contract is still dependent on Melbourne getting an outside back in return.

That critical element, the terms of which were agreed to by Addo-Carr last year when he requested a return to NSW on compassionate grounds, presents several scenarios that are all still in play.

The Tigers have considered offering a straight player trade between the clubs, while Melbourne can also source a winger from another NRL rival.

South Sydney's Alex Johnston had loomed as a possible option as he offers similar try-scoring prowess to Addo-Carr, with 97 tries from 138 NRL outings.

However, after initial talks Johnston is understood to have told Melbourne he and his partner's preference is to stay in Sydney, with Victoria's COVID-19 situation playing a part in his decision.

Johnston was told midway through the year that salary cap pressure would force him out of Redfern at the end of 2020.

Manly has been touted as another option for the 25-year-old.

The Rabbitohs have however revisited attempts keep Johnston in red and green next year, and may be able to do so if teen sensation Joseph Suaali chooses rugby union and the Waratahs over South Sydney's three-year offer.

The Storm are already slated to lose Fijian star Suliasi Vunivalu to the 15-man game next season after the Queensland Reds ensured his own lucrative offer for 2021 would be guaranteed by the franchise.

Vunivalu is set to be named in Craig Bellamy's 21-man squad for Sunday's clash with North Queensland, with a call to be made on a surprise early return from his broken jaw to be made later in the week.

Nothing official. NRL CEO basically saying hoping to have it sorted/agreed by end of this month the other day.

Just did the math it would start from 2022 but I imagine if Melbourne get a replacement it will be next year aswell

I don't like it when our "recruitment offer" is all over the media.
I think the recruitment process should be between the club and player then published by the club when all is said and done.
This way, by going through the media, we set ourselves up for a fall (Trell ring any bells??).

If Melbourne want a winger to replace JAC .. let's give them Jennings .. !!

Imagine what unfair advantage would Storm get with 'try-scoring machine' Jennings and 'I run mean decoys' Packer !

My biggest concern is that JAC agrees to join us and Melb hold everything up and don't officially release him until they get a good replacement. In this time another Team (Souths) come in with a late offer and we miss out again... I wonder if they can give him an offer and he signs subject to Storm releasing him so that it's either us or stays at storm. I don't want this dragging on into Dec/ Jan again

Has the club issued a press release on this ? It is more likely to have come from JAC's manager. They like to play clubs off against each other to maximise the deal. Not much the club can do about that.
