OFFICIAL Simon Dwyer [Discussion]

One message for all the forwards next week. Get in there and rip in. I'm sure that will be the attitude after the video of today's game is viewed. :smiling_imp:

Moors for Dwyer thanks mr Sheens

Moors storming onto the ball out wide would be a big help, but it wouldn`t be at the expense of Dwyer out of the 17 if it was up to me and I don`t think Sheens` will be leaving him out of the 17 either.

Games like today should make people realise how valuable Liam Fulton is for us. Liam would have tackled everything that moved and also provided that extra mobility on the fringes of the ruck.
Todd Payten is great in the night games, but in my opinion far too slow and out of condition for these fast paced games in the heat of the day.

I can`t agree with you Willow. Al Schirnack tries real hard, but has nowhere near the impact in which Dwyer has. I do agree that Dwyer needs to lift his workrate, but with Gareth Ellis back next week I very much doubt Dwyer would be playing the whole 80mins anyway.
Benji is crying out for more players to run onto the ball at pace and give him some options, taking away one of the only ones that regularly does this would only make it harder for us to put points on the board.

Yeah but Dwyer had no impact today. 8 runs for 50 metres, one run was at the line which was good where he offloaded to McKinnon that nearly resulted in a try, but otherwise he was too quiet.

'Tissues' needs some angry pills. The least effective forward on the paddock by far again. Trying to hard for mine. Needs to get angry and be less worried about the game. Needs to learn how to kill.

Every side needs mobile backrowers who are capable of making line breaks. Selecting a forward pack full of props with little mobility will see us continue to struggle to score points and obviously that leads to us not winning games. If we don`t have enough players capable of making line busts in the side it takes away Benji`s options. We need the front rowers to do their jobs and get us going forward and we need mobility in the back row.

I'm guessing the 80 minutes his playing is effecting his work-rate. When you know you are going to play 80, you may pace yourself.

I want to know why he doesn't work harder and give Galloway more minutes. The big bloke gets two 20 minute stints with a big break in the middle. Give him 15, 15 off, play middle 25-30, 10 to 15 off and finish the game. He is our man and give him the minutes.

Agree 100% with these comments.

Dwyer 2nd year syndrome strikes again . We have enough major game time forwards . Heighington Ellis Fulton we don't need another . Really disappointed in his efforts

4 forwards on the bench would help !!!!

We are certainly going to have to rotate 2 hookers while Farah is missing.

4 forwards on the bench would change absolutely nothing and Farah has been missing for a while.

I would prefer 4 forwards on the bench and Robbie can be a gun but both things aren't happening at the moment.

I think the reason he isn't playing as well as he can is because last year he would sit on the bench and WANT to come onto the field and play the time he got on the field as well as he could so that the coaches recognise how well he plays and then eventually rate him higher

But I think now that he is playing for more time than last year per game he just gets tired, and probably worries about just staying consistent and concentrating too hard on not making any mistakes, thus making him more "boring" or under par with other players of his caliber.

It was those risky plays the he would do to get noticed last year that made him SIMON DWYER, this year its just Simon Dwyer.

I'm happy Fifita is as good as last year if not better, and every time I say his name i say it with the roar he deserves. Dwyer has lost that this year.

Lets hope it all changes next week, rabbits have a very strong attack. we are gonna need SIMON DWYER back with some of those massive hits from last year.

BTW anyone notice how MASSIVE his arms are now? almost as big at Utai's legs!

Well he is not trying hard enough with mistakes Crucial missed tackles Two dropped balls in attacking positions one dropped bomb Only thing that did surprise me was his speed he footed it with Kenny Dowell in the 1st half and ran him down

yea all the added pressure of trying to be mistake free is getting to him, he just needs to relax and then jump at oppotunities as they arrise.

Errors and penalties are costing him and Tigers.

He has a lot of potential, runs great lines but I think he sometimes looks scared to face up to the big guys, maybe coz he thinks he might be a target now after THAT HIT?

Whatever the reason is, I thought if he didn't hit his straps this week, he would easily be replaced by Ellis next week but since Ellis wont be back next week, he has another chance to prove himself and the coach. Personally, he shouldn't be starting next week. Off the bench is his best position, for me he is an impact player.
