I am not sure that Kev and Lovett can be used as poster boys for a cap clean out. It depends on how much they are on. You need fringe first graders as long as they are being paid at the fringe first grader rate. Cap clean up starts with those on big contracts that are not providing value for money.
Look at the panthers, got rid of Jennings, Lewis and Grant within a year of each other and recruited bargain buys short term whilst signing promising juniors to long term deals.

Zillman had a horrific run of major injuries early in his career. I believe what he has achieved since has been quite impressive. I like him and always have. However, at 30, those injuries will be catching up with him. His last 2 years havent been his best although i havent watched all that closely. I still admire William immensely for the career he has carved put after it looked over as a youngster.

While i dont agree with us signing him, if he comes i will support him and hope he shuts a few mouths. If anyone has the character to do it its him.

He would have to be better than Rankin, and he was picked every week by the coach.

Agree with the sentiment though, go in hard and savage, scrub the floorboards of the wasted corpses and start with a whole fresh attitude and roster. Players at WT have been afforded the luxury of bloated contracts yet anorexic performances for far too long, probably since day dot 2000 to be honest. Ruthless needs to be the club's new buzz word if we are ever going to get to the top again. If management are looking to offload players, especially fan favourites, cut them loose ASAP without letting it fester and contaminate the club.

Interesting this came out when it looked like an NRL owned club was looking to obtain him. This is a conflict of interest. If guilty and he has bet on games he played in he should be banned for life.

I feel quite torn by this. Life ban for stupidity and we have players who have abused women allowed to do time and get another chance. My son has met Tim and couldn't speak more highly of him I understand there must be some level of punishment but the severity compared to some of the low acts done by others who are still playing - nup. Hope he is receiving some support.
