@ said:Is that a life ban from the NRL? Will he be able to play ESL?
Just a Paul Kent prediction at this point. Strangely enough Rothfield defended Simona suggesting that it would be extreme and hard to prove in terms of matchfixing

@ said:I feel quite torn by this. Life ban for stupidity and we have players who have abused women allowed to do time and get another chance. My son has met Tim and couldn't speak more highly of him I understand there must be some level of punishment but the severity compared to some of the low acts done by others who are still playing - nup. Hope he is receiving some support.

I agree. How they can reconcile players involved in domestic violence that are still playing makes you wonder. Maybe if women and kids were the major sponsor of the NRL, not gambling agencies, we'd see a change. I think he should suffer a ban, but lifetime seems excessive.

Of course domestic violence cannot be justified or excused but in a way it is a more " natural" thing to do than cheating against your whole team and fans for a few bucks. Some of us have shocking short and wild tempers just waiting to be ignited and of course it will be our partner who is in contact with us 24/7 through all kinds of pressures etc. that will cop the wrath. Add a few beers into the mix and screaming kids and one's self control can break down if one does no know how to handle such situations. Football of course attract the strong and violent types so we should not be too surprised.

Can't believe it was Timsim too, why couldn't it be Rankin or someone getting the boot
@ said:If it is found that he has bet against himself by backing his opposing number and they've scored, he's breached the trust of his team mates. That is the lowest thing you can do in footy and he should be banned for life, and scrubbed from our club history. Get rid of his cap number off the board, remove him from any reprints, I'm talking a full Soviet airbrush job.

Yeah, why couldn't it have been someone else betting against us, someone a bit less valuable. I find it odd, that Rankin is still receiving more hate than a player who conspired to sabotage us.

Apparently Rankin would have done it too but he found out that his opposite winger was never priced better than $2 to score first so he decided it wasn't worth the risk.
