Sione Fainu #284

Considering how much hes been on in thr past.

He looks in incredible shape and he's still so young, I think he's in for a massive year.
Manase could be the glue that keeps them all together imo. Due out later this year.

If the club give him an opportunity with say a NSW Cup contract or some sort of role to contribute in the club, fair chance brothers will all want to stay (provided their own contracts are fair & reasonable).

- Sticking together
- Not having to move away and the expense involved in all of that.

Some positives to stay, for sure.

Manase, he was a special talent when he was playing.

If we convinced the NRL to allow us to register Manase to play for us and he regained even 90% of his ability it would be a huge boost for us.
When at Manly he was rated higher than Api hence the reason they allowed Api to leave and re-signed Manase.

I feel like we'd be becoming like the team in The Longest Yard. Maybe we'll sign Adam Sandler next?

Read somewhere that he was about 40kgs overweight???
A;so read that he was due out a little earlier than Oct with good behaviour
Turns 29 next year..mite be a stop gap between Api and the young hookers were grooming

If 40kg overweight is true (although doubt it if he thought, he was a chance to play again), he won't be playing anywhere this year and a torrid off season to look forward to.
A bit late for a stop gap.

It will take him months and a genuine off season to get even close to NRL ready..were talking 2027 at best..if ever

The Fainu's have stressed all along that their desire is to play all together at the Tigers so if this is true you would think they would be reasonable with salary expectations for the sake of staying together.

Doubt that any of them in the near future will be chasing the money, Sione might want a bit more but highly doubt he has any intention of going elsewhere.
game time for latu would be the issue, perth could stump up comparable cash or possibly a bit more. If Latu is unable to oust AD then he may well cross over to Perth, no reason Sione couldn't follow

I think Samuela can be ome a very good player here at tigers so doubt he would move, and possible tigers end up signing Manase Fainu who knows

If he has any NRL aspirations he would ensure he is in reasonable condition upon his release.

It was only about 6 months ago there were stories about how he was keeping fit with dreams of returning to the NRL. Also teaching rugby league to inmates.

We wld need too see him have the resolve to work towards his playing weight before pre release to have any genuine comittment to playing NRL again
Walk out at 120 kgs and it wont work for either party

Agreed but based on articles 6 months ago suggesting he has been keeping fit I doubt he is now grossly overweight. Doesn't make sense he would stay fit for 3 years then suddenly pack on the weight as he gets closer to a release date.
