So…where to from here? 🤔

Half time in round 2 is probably the fastest I have lost hope for the season. That was god awful and had an inevitability about it as soon as they lost Ponga and their Hooker. Can anyone name a player who has come to this club and actually improved? Where is the issue? new coaching teams, new players, new training facilities and same problems. The place is toxic.

OMG if this is the start of a new era!! How can they play like they played against Canberra & then dish up this garbage against a team that was down on players yet big on heart. Time to ditch Leichhardt it has been our graveyard for years now. It is just a bad memory from the past now. The lack of structure from our new gun forward pack was non existant. Like others here I thought I had seen bad performances but this was another level of bad.

Leichhardt oval still has a superior win ratio than Campbeltown,it certainly is dropping but that is because our win rate is dropping as a club. The win rate as a club needs to be fixed the percentages at both ovals will be improved

I say we leave the team as is and bring home the spoon and storm through the season with zero victories all year. I'm confident we can perform this bad all year. Come on boys, never lift or play with any first grade standards. Lets fill the trophy cabinet.

You only have a better win rate if you win games - and with the coaches and players the club has there's no upside of that happening

Which is why we should be keeping both of our homegrounds. The person i was responding to wanted to remove LO as a home ground because it was LO

It's pretty sad that after round 2 it's obvious we won't be anywhere near first grade standard this year. We argue about whether Brooks should play half or 5/8 when it's obvious he hasn't done anything for 10 years. I think the words Mastercoach Sheens used when letting Madge go was " if you can't see him being around in 3 years then he should go now" well he should use that logic for Brooks, Nofo, AD, Laurie and Naden as well as well. There's nothing in the backline to inspire any confidence that they can defend or attack to cause any NRL side a problem - Brooks ?AD ? Naden ? Nofo? Laurie? its awe inspiring isn't it. Moses wouldn't even touch the sides with bringing that rabble out of the dark- you remember what is was like when he was here - there was no semi final appearance then either. Pinning our hopes on a revival lead by some kids in the lower grades is only likely to disappoint as they leave for better pastures or fall into the abyss onlogside every other player that's come thtough the grades or players we have transferred in.

The really upsetting thing is if the forwards can find their mojo, it is a pretty decent pack. We have zero credibility from 1-7, Just complete numpties through and through. The forwards can get you into the opposition 20 all day long but not a single player in the 1-7 would be able to produce any points if not fluked. Why would the forwards bust their ass all game for zero results with the backs doing sweet all the entire game. Especially knowing some ridiculous coin they are being paid. I can see Api and Papi already checked out and I doubt Bateman wont recover from his leg cramp for many more rounds. Why would he want to be a part of this, tackling and busting all game for Brooks and Doohie to stuff up play after play and have to do his job all over again for naught?

As crazy as it sounds I don't think it is all doom and gloom yet. Our attack will gel, it is only round two, Api will need time. I thought Brooks showed some promise yesterday, 40/20 ran the ball a lot more and looked sharp. We need Staines at fullback though as Laurie is a midget and offers nothing. Our pack is developing and come midseason the attack will gel and the wins will come, we will not make the eight this year but will improve.

Yes, it is too much.

The board and club don’t give a shit about the fans, and definitely don’t want to hear their opinions.

Certain board members seem to actively despise the fan base.

Just keep your money flowing to the club via merch/memberships/ticket sales and shut up, thanks.
There have been several series of fan-club forums, and I have been part of one of those mostly in 2021-2022.

Problem is, what do you tell the club? You want to win more? You want the team to be more competitive and try harder? All pretty bloody obvious.

I am certain everyone in the Tigers organisation cares a lot about results and fan feelings, and I can imagine how much stress the club employees feel after results like yesterday. Even compared to the players, where players are on guaranteed payouts (despite results) and can always look for another club if they have to; whereas strategic club employees would be in a much more tenuous employment position.

The question is instead whether or not the board has the ability to implement winning strategies. It would appear that they do not have this ability, but as people who vote themselves into power and don't answer to a large constituency, they are very unlikely to fall on their sword.

So I am all for fan feedback and club access, but the reality is that our feedback is mostly predictable and the club is more interested in how to engage fans for patronage rather than asking for some rando to provide them advice on how to run a first-grade football club.
