So are we allowed to discuss the Sharkies situation?

What horse steroids?

the word going around is the Knights will be next to go, apparently theres 7 Knights players involved, with Jeremy Smith being the main culprit, supposedly hes brought it from the Sharks and introduced it to some of the Knights players.

Then the real big news is Manly will go after them, supposedly Steve Menzies rolled over to ASADA and Des was giving them PEDs, 17 Manly players are involved apparently and their 08 and 11 premierships could be stripped

Well I heard that the players actually admitted to taking drugs in 2011, however their was a problem in communication. When the players were asked "have you taken drugs?" they replied "Neigh".

Also I am hering that the club are set to hire a new trainer in the well known Peter Moody. Moody has had great success in his last position training Black Caviar. The Sharks wanted Gai Waterhouse but a conflict with the new betting company sponsoring the NRL meant that she was unable to take up the role.

Thank you, I am here all week, try the veal.

Sorry it had to be done. I do feel for the supporters though, but a joke here or there hopefully can lighten the mood.

Good work.. though the Sharks supporters thing has been overdone.. they are always the worst supported team in the league including last year when they actually made the 8.

Just heard GUS and AJ on 2GB. My goodness. Talk about putting your head in the sand.

Sea Shepard will be parking boats in Botany Bay to protect this little fella from ASADA!

Didn't hear it but doesn't surprise me. Roy Masters, surprisingly enough, wrote the most accurate summation of what happened at Cronulla that I've read or heard in the media.

Yeah ,thanks Watto by some minor miracle managed to find it myself and had already seen it Agree it is the most informative piece done so far

The doubters need to read this article

The biggest shame about all this is that it has taken something bad for Cronulla fans to really get behind their side and possibly it might be too little too late

Maybe their could be something in that for ALL clubs

Funny thing happened this morning. I work in a building which has a major sport betting company (I won't name them but they are big) located on another floor. I was joking to one of their staff about putting money on the Tigers for most losses this year after our inept performance last night his comeback was that there are another 5-6 clubs that will lose more games this year based on what there are hearing about players being suspended is true.

Givney is an idiot if he takes legal action - he will lose $$$. After all, he is the Doctor presiding over a club that took not only performance enhancing drugs but substances not for humans. The club should sue Givney and Flanagan for negligence not the other way around.

I have it on 100% authority that the 2011 Sharks stuffed up not taking the discount and will cop 2 year bans. I also understand that some players have been juicing in the 2013 off season. People like Gould, Hadley, Jones, Rothfield and the DT have done an enormous disservice. They think they are helping the code but they are digging it deeper and deeper..

Another good story from Roy Masters which was a good response to people on this forum who have called the investigation a political stunt.

In reference to the view the February 7 press conference was staged to take pressure off a besieged Labor government, Lawler said: ''I have been asked about the timing of the release of the report. It was dictated by intelligence findings. An earlier date was planned but a premature announcement would have compromised an ongoing investigation. I had an ambition to do it sooner.''
Asked why two junior ministers became involved in what has been described as ''grandstanding'', Lawler said simply, ''I invited the politicians. They were always going to be involved. They were part of the solution. There needed to be additional resources to ASADA. They always had a legitimate role.''

The story also answers a lot of questions people have posed re timing, evidence gathered, and the reasons behind the investigation.

The Cronulla situation is getting to a stage where IF something is going to happen ,it needs to happen asap

We can't 8 or 9 teams playing a full strength Sharks outfit and the other 15 games played against NSW Cup strength sides

I know ASADA couldn't give a hoot about this , but something needs to happen

And even worse ,Newcastle or Mnaly finish 5th playing all season at full strength and Rd 26 they have their clubs drained of their players

And again I understand ASADA view point , but can you imagine if the US Olympic Team was in the same situation and the WADA said the week after the Olympic trials that they were going to decimate their ranks the reaction from the Yanks
