So where to now.

Now that everyone has hit peak with all the bs, will this wind down or do we look at it as setting a platform for a new round. I think the existing members to take there place on the new board will be more ruthless. I'm thinking both Potter and Mayer will go. Even though the NRL will hold 3 to 2 votes advantage, I can't see anything resolved. I can see that if the NRL doesn't agree with the Wests group, the Balmain group will suffer a speedy extinction. Once again the Wests group will offer to payout the loan for voting rights or for total control of the JV. The Wests group will argue they are paying their way, but have no influence. They'll claim they were road blocked with a decision they were forced into rather than agreed into. They have a case . Will the NRL throw in more money without repayment to keep the peace and keep things looking rosie or will they move out and make way for a total independent restructure. Does it look like a case of jumping to conclusions or is it the reality that we can expect.

So what is the general feeling, with all that's happened and the way people have responded, will Potter retain his job?

I personally don't know what to think. Did people power win. Did he show a side of himself that changed the clubs opinion. Will they say, you missed the eight, you know the deal or will they backflip like no other club can. Finally will they get rid of everyone just to make the statement that everyone is guilty, everyone must go.

I'm very interest to see the outcome of the new NRL appointed 3 man board, should the Wests group decide against the decision on Potter. No decision will ever please everyone and I hope Potter stays but, his contract does state, make the top 8 to activate an extension. If we miss the 8, but the NRL choose that he should be there, what is the contract really worth if it is not honoured in the way it should. How can you have a coach that's unwanted by a financial partner signed again when they have a right to walk away. And if the NRL get their way, out voting the Wests group, how can they expect to pay a coach with no contract and that isn't wanted. What is his real market value?

Good luck.
