Dominic Solanke scored in stoppage time to salvage a point for 10-man Tottenham as they snatched a 1 all draw against Manchester United in a feisty encounter at Old Trafford.

It looked as if United were about to pile more misery on the visitors following their pitiful start to the Premier League season when Bryan Mbeumo broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute.

Things went from bad to worse for Spurs when Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off five minutes later for headbutting Luke Shaw, who had shoved him over after a reckless challenge from the Uruguay midfielder.

But Solanke, who was captaining Tottenham for the first time, nodded Sandro Tonali's cross into the back of the net in the second minute of added time to lift Spurs off the bottom of the table.

Roberto de Zerbi's side remain winless, however, and stay in the relegation zone - above both Fulham and Coventry City - with just three points from the first six games.

United have suffered their own shaky start to the campaign with just one victory and a sluggish first-half performance was met with boos by the home fans on Saturday.

They were much improved after the break, but jeers once again echoed around Old Trafford at full-time. This was the second successive league game they have dropped points against a team that were reduced to 10 men - following their 1-0 derby defeat by Manchester City last month.

Another late equaliser means we are still without a win this season. Not much to show for our massive off season recruitment.
Hopefully it will click into gear soon.
Come on Ye Spurs.

Oliver Glasner endured a frustrating return to Crystal Palace as his Nottingham Forest side let slip an early lead to lose 3-1 to the Eagles.

After guiding Palace to FA Cup and Conference League success, Glasner left the club at the end of last season and took on the Forest job in the summer.

Initially it looked like it would be a triumphant return to Selhurst Park as Forest took a third-minute lead through Dan Ndoye's neat low finish. They then dominated much of the first half, with Liam Delap somehow denied a second from point-blank range by Walter Benitez.

Palace were not in the game at all but incredibly turned the tables with two goals just before half time.

Daichi Kamada finished off a nice team move to level four minutes before the break for his first Premier League goal, and Jefferson Lerma headed in a second deep in stoppage time.

It got even better for Palace in the second half when Yeremy Pino slotted into the bottom corner, prompting Eagles fans to tease Glasner with chants aimed at their former manager.

Benitez made another fine save late on to prevent substitute Chris Wood from reducing the deficit and giving Forest some hope of snatching a point.

Palace's second win of the season moves them up to 12th in the Premier League, while Forest are 14th.

Mohamed Belloumi scored a second-half leveller as Hull City and Everton continued their good starts to the season with an entertaining 2 all draw at MKM Stadium.

Hull took the lead in the 43rd minute as Joe Gelhardt slipped the ball past onrushing Everton keeper Jordan Pickford after Sorba Thomas had intercepted Ainsley Maitland-Niles' poor pass.

But less than five minutes later, Everton levelled when Maitland-Niles' cross found Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who nodded in at the back post.

Everton turned things around in the 68th minute when Thomas gave the ball away, allowing Dewsbury-Hall to play in Thierno Barry who finished well.

But Belloumi equalised with 16 minutes to go, firing a shot past Pickford after a cut-back from Elliot Stroud.

Manchester City's first game since being found guilty of breaching Premier League financial regulations ended in a 3 nil victory as they outclassed a 10 man Liverpool at Anfield.

Enzo Maresca's side restored their three-point lead at the top of the table in emphatic fashion - but there remains the sense that this is a season in limbo as City await their punishment, with the potential for Premier League expulsion, relegation or record points deductions.

Liverpool fans made their feelings known before and during the game with constant "cheat" jibes, but City, who have appealed against the verdict of an independent commission, responded with a measured display before picking Liverpool apart, who had been reduced to 10 men when Ryan Gravenberch was sent off.

Erling Haaland broke the deadlock with a thunderous finish after 65 minutes, substitute Jeremy Doku adding the second with a stunning strike into the top corner three minutes later.

And City confirmed their vast superiority when Rayan Cherki produced brilliant individual skill to make it 3-0 12 minutes from time.

The game opened in a predictably fevered atmosphere as the Kop delivered taunts about the guilty verdict, unfurling banners emblazoned with messages such as 'A Generation Of Supporters Cheated', while City fans responded backing their owners by brandishing a flag reading 'In Khaldoon We Trust'.

Once the initial sound and fury died down, the first half was an anti-climax as City slowed the game to combat the hostile environment while Liverpool struggled to make a breakthrough.

The second half showed more signs of life, with City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma saving from Victor Munoz and Gravenberch in swift succession, while Haaland held his head in anguish after rolling a chance wide when clean through.

Gravenberch's dismissal, given a second yellow card for a foul on Doku, left Liverpool with an uphill task as City moved through the gears to win with ease.

A 10 man Southampton battled to beat Portsmouth 1 nil in the Championship and win their first league match against the Blues in nearly 22 years.

Saints scored the game's only goal in the first half when James Bree was found dashing into the box by Finn Azaz, taking a touch before slotting the ball past Pompey keeper Nicolas Schmid.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men before the break when Cameron Bragg was shown a second yellow card for pulling Ebou Adams to the ground.

But Saints held on to see the game out and claim the bragging rights over their bitter Hampshire rivals, moving up to 11th in the table in the process.

This was the first game for Southampton's head coach Tonda Eckert since being handed a suspended six-week ban and a £28,000 fine by the FA for his role in the Spygate scandal.

The club have stood by him throughout the saga and the way Saints rolled up their sleeves in the second half, a man down, suggests the players are firmly behind the German too.
