I understand FT

It must be hard watching teams spend more on one player than your entire squad is worth

Then again we support the WT's

West Ham are reportedly set to complete the surprising £8million transfer of Liverpool’s Fabio Borini.

The Hammers are awaiting the arrival of the Italian who is on his way to London to finalise a move.

The Italian flop is demanding a remarkable £100,000-a-week but despite his demands he is expected to complete a switch.

Liverpool are desperate to offload the 24-year-old as they look to fund a move for Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, according to the Sun.

And with West Ham willing to take Borini off their hands, it could be a good deal for all parties.

In Spanish news, Bilbao have extended Iker Muniain until 2019.

Quality lock up there. Kid is going to be big, will end up at Barca or Real for sure.

O.K happy have your laugh but this is the most we have paid for a player since 2002 , Chris Wood has signed a 4 year deal with Leeds and we paid 3 million for this 23 year old goal scoring striker.

Confirmed: Leeds beat Wolves to sign £3m Chris Wood as Leicester sack manager

LEEDS UNITED have signed Chris Wood from Leicester City for a reported £3million.

Leeds United confirmed the signing of Chris Wood from Leicester today
The striker penned a four-year deal at the Elland Road club a day after Leicester manager Nigel Pearson was sacked.

The Foxes parted company with Pearson last night over 'fundamental differences in perspective' regarding the sacking of his son, who was involved in a racist sex tape during a trip to Thailand.

Wood, 23, is new manager Uwe Rosler's fourth summer signing as Leeds prepare for a promotion push next season.

The New Zealand international played 62 games for Leicester but was fielded out on loan to Ipswich last season.

Nigel Pearson was sacked by Leicester yesterday
Rosler told leedsunited.com: “I think it’s the right player at the right time.

"That sort of player with proven Championship quality is rare. “I’m very happy that we've got him. I think it’s the right player at the right price, at the right stage of his career. There was competition from other clubs.”

Wolves were noted as suitors of Wood and Rosler reserved thanks for Leeds owner Massimo Cellino for pushing the deal through.

“I think this was a very tough one because there was a lot of competition,” he said. “It was not easy to get it over the line.

"All credit to Mr Cellino, he was very positive to the idea to bring Chris in."

What did Pearson do wrong ??

Good pick up FT

Hopefully that means the Cambiasso to West Ham rumour jumps back on front foot if Pearson is gone

Exactly what we need , a experienced midfielder who can score some goals

Looks like we are losing Downing though

Great to see that Cresswell signed a long term deal , the kid can play

I've highlighted in red for the reason of his sacking happy on the article post on my last post .

It seems as though his son was playing for the Club and got sacked .

We are probably one quality striker and one quality defender short of a Top 10 side (two if the Jenkinson deal doesn't go through )

Charlie Austin is the missing piece of the puzzle

That went quiet very quickly , but I believe he won't make any decisions until he gets back to England

Our first Europa Cup game tomorrow evening I believe also

West Ham defeat Lusitanos in Europa League first qualifying round
\

West Ham United got off to a strong start against Lusitanos.
Diafra Sakho struck a brace in front of a watching Slaven Bilic as West Ham eased to a routine victory over Europa League first qualifying round opponents FC Lusitanos of Andorra.

Plenty has changed at Upton Park in the last 12 months but the constant that remains going forward is the goal-threat of striker Sakho – who shone in this 3-0 win played just 39 days since the end of both the previous Premier League season and Sam Allardyce's reign in east London.

The 25-year-old joined the club last year and, despite ending the season on the treatment table, he finished the campaign with 10 league goals -- by far the best offering from anyone in claret and blue.

It was that late thigh injury that meant Sakho lined up for the Hammers in this contest, as a number of fresher players selected by academy manager Terry Westley, who was in charge as new boss Bilic opted to watch from the stands after receiving a heroes' welcome before kick-off.

And the Croatian saw Sakho score twice in the five minutes before half-time, with skipper for the evening James Tomkins heading a third against the Primera Division minnows.

Sakho was not the only first-team regular involved as Tomkins captained a side which also contained Joey O'Brien, Morgan Amalfitano, Matt Jarvis and Mauro Zarate -- back in the fold after ending last season on loan at QPR -- but did not boast big-name summer signings Pedro Obiang or Dimitri Payet.

New recruit Darren Randolph started in goal however, Reece Oxford was arguably the main attraction for the sold-out Upton Park crowd, the 16-year-old becoming the youngest first-team player in the club's history.

FC Lusitanos of Andorra.  What a powerhouse they must be….
