Solomona Faataape #276

I hope so too, for different reasons.

Us and the Dogs are becoming Penrith mk2 and mk3. We got Luai, who comes to us having played with Api, Staines and Naden.

Sure were punting some of Naden/Staines/Bateman/Toa. We need stronger performers and these guys have had a chance. On some level, Luai chose us over the Dogs...

You take Naden or Staines out. Life happens. You take both of these guys out, then suddenly it is Api who is the only person Luai knows.

Plus Luai has combined well with both players in the past. Knowing what someone will do and how they will act is key.

I know 1x of Staines/Naden has to go. Kick them both out and I reckon Luai will be pretty annoyed and even less effective.
Sometimes you gotta remember you are building a team of humans.

lot of support from the forum

I'm interested to see him back in the centres. A good first stint early in the year, some time in KOE cup, then back in the NRL filling a hole on the wing. He has some experience and miles in the legs now. Im not expecting a game breaking performance but i think he should go better then what he did early in the year. He definitely isn't a long term winger and looks much more suited to the centres.

Yeah I think he will surprise a lot of people this weekend been trust me when some 1 gets there opportunity in there preferred position after been on the wing they take it with both hands

i like this kid he has a go and is def a centre , I love the fact he is in it 100% and will do what ever to play in our team , this is what we need from the lower grade players , a want to make the top grade and do what ever the coach requests , keeper for me , 2 year deal on about $ 250 k would keep him with us and well worth it , even a clause , play well and earn an upgrade later after first year If all goes well for him , keep him

19 and 23.

Feledy has age and youth pedigree on his side. Potentially more upside, does have a way of finding his way over the line, Faatape was excellent last year in Qld cup, and been solid in the NRL for us when called upon.
100% behind Faatape.

The position was open for Feledy and ... I never seen him take it.
We punted Tristan and kept Feledy, and I really don't see why

Faatape has that grit you want in a center. Feledy doesn't have the bulk and seems to be making too many errors. Maybe he would develop into something, I doubt it.

At least with Faatape you know he has reached something close to first grade standard. I don't see Feledy getting there.

That's what I am thinking.

Put yourself in Luai's shoes for a moment. You have the Riff, The Dogs and the WT pushing to sign you.

Marshall seems alright. Ciraldo is a bit lukewarm on you... You know Crichton, Kikau, Burton at the dogs and you know Naden, Staines and Api at the Tigers.

Now imagine if we dump Staines/Naden and Api gets into an argument with you? suddenly that decision to join the WT looks really lonely. That kind of thing can really kill motivation...

Just saying.

Yessir. Glad to see him playing centre in his preferred
position on his preferred side on the left. Ramien
will be a handful but I rate his chances. Lobb should
have been selected last week, another tactical error
from benji, along with not putting seyfarth on earlier
last week. And heath's introduction into the game too.
They'll probably be better off without hynes anyway
we need to take the crowd out of it. A nice fast start

I think Faatape is one who will also improve next season - we need to remember he missed most of the pre season so it'll be his first nrl pre season coming into next year.

I think we will see plenty of movement in our top 30 between now and next season given we currently have a full squad of 30 for next year if all options are taken up while we also have 3 players not in the top 30 next year currently in the nrl squad - Faatape, Sione Fainu and Porter.

Lobb had been out for a number of weeks with HIA, think it's reasonable for a development player with 1 nrl game to his name to come back via NSW cup
