When you look at our playing roster, there is no-one signed for 2018 and there doesn't seem to be a hurry to re-sign a host of player off contract. We have 17 players off contract and it doesnt seem like anyone will be re-signed.

Well if you believe the forum Chris they are all Plodders which no other Club would want so there is no great rush…

The serious answer is that most players contracts at most Clubs are ending in 2017 (DCE excepted) as the new TV rights deal starts in 2018 …with that an expected big rise in the Salary Cap and scum player managers are aligning their clients with that....Even Foran went from a 4 year deal with Para back to 2 with options in his favour....

Could this be the reason why we're not buying anyone so we can set ourselves up for some big money offers to players who come off contract in 2018 and 2019?

So GEO,what your saying is not much is happening at all clubs at this stage beyond 2017,in regard to player signings because there is an anticipation of a big influx of money from the TV deal coming in and then they will cut loose with spending…is that correct,am I reading it right ??
