The officiators cost us the game for their inactions
If Latrell gets 3 to 4 weeks now then he should have been sent off during the game
Souths get the 2 points
We get nothing again
And the next 3 or 4 teams souths play get all the advantages

Yeah that seems fair Nrl officials
Thankyou and well done
This is one of the main reasons people don't go to games any more
Us supporters want a fair go
Fix the bull---- and the crowds will come back

I watch nrl on channel 9 and listen to the ABC
if you want us supporters to spend our hard earned $ by buying a subscription then fix the bloody game you drongo's
Or I will continue to keep my money

100% i never EVER have understood how an Opposing player, takes a high shot/punches/Chicken wings your player out of the game...
Then your other Opponents get an easier time while he is suspended for 3-4weeks?

Meanwhile your player could be out themselfes for awhile due to the Injury.

More sendoffs, fewer long term bans.

The word thug is a race baiting term. If you don't mean anything racial by it just don't use it. Simple. You can google as much information on the subject as you want te educate yourself. The connotation is what it is and if you don't want to come across racially insensitive just don't use the term. There is no need to come out swinging when someone merely attempts to clue you in that the term has racial connotation.

I would have thought on a forum where people get banned for mild swears that this sentiment would get more support. Particularly given we support a club that is branding itself as inclusive to indigenous people.

Hmm and it turns out that thuggies were the religion loosely portrayed in Indian Jones and the temple of doom. Although it seems there more akin to a cult or group. Never the less, that was an interesting Wikipedia dive

What about Indiana Jones .....

He carried a satchel..enough said r ?

You told me you dreamed of getting whipped by Indy / Harrison Ford /Han Solo

Chewbacca

Radley is even using the Latrine dog-shot reel of Garner hits as part of his defence.

Bet LM's defence wouldn't be too pleased about that. Sneaky by the Roosters to pull that one out.

Why look at someone else's tackle
Either the tackle is illegal or it is not
A punch is a punch
A high shot is a high shot
A late hit is a late hit
A crusher is a crusher
A knee in the back is a knee in the back
An elbow to the face is an elbow to the face
They are the facts
The only question is , is it intentionally done or is it an accident
That is what should set the punishment

I mostly agree mate, though recklessness plays a big part also for mine. You may not have intentionally hit the other player in the head with the stiffened arm, but you did. Accidentally should be the norm, intentional should almost double the punishment. But even accidentally still needs to be punished.

Lawyer is claiming that he attempted to look out for Nofoaluma by turning his body and trying to pull out of contact.
Are they kidding? He lined up Nofoaluma's head and thrusts his forearm into his face. Nothing looks accidental about it to me.

I like this.
I actually deleted my post because as much as it bothers me what he did - and got away with, during the game - the match officials are accountable for letting it happen.
Since the Billy Slater incident the NRL have only ever shown they hold a bias to certain clubs and players.

It’s a load of crap
The thug had ample time to pull out but you can see what his intentions were .

Even the commentators said Mitchell was in a mood that night .

“He was forced into the situation because of the imminent possibility of a try about to be scored” ....well carry on, nothing to see here.

No meltdown tonight, put the popcorn away. But not out of arms reach. ?

Anyone think it will change his grubby style ? And what advantage do we get ? Loss of 2 competition points is the answer

Woohoo 4 weeks. Not that it changes the game result but it sure made me laugh.

Wouldn't be too upset to see him get knocked out in his return match. The germ.

I think champion @BalmainJnr you're onto something there.
As the process stands, any penalty follows upcoming games.
What about if the penalty is i game or more, that ONE of the games has to be against the offended team in the first game the teams meet again.
That way, the offended team actually gets their piece of justice in all this.
