Souths after Tim Moltzen...

You never know, they might try and arrange a 12month deal for Tim, like Liam a couple of years ago, ease cap pressures and bring him back a better footballer. Although with McKinnon off for his superannuation contract I would have thought Sheens would likeTim to have 1st crack at the no1 in 2012

I honestly don't think Fulton came back a better player. He has always been just this or that side of consistent, but going to super league didn't improve his skills out of sight.

Yep. Fulton has always been about the same player he is now. A great player but someone who lacks size.

Reading on another forum that, Moltzen his manager and Richardson are meeting tomorrow and we have already agreed to release him if he can get a better deal, also same forum said he was unhappy with Sheens because he was promised the no 1 for the year during pre season once he got back to full fitness.

**did any1 tell Timmy u need to put ur body on the line to play fullback?**

Precisely…has anyone bothered to tell Tim to stop whining to the touch judges and look at his own game..?..The kid has no heart and plays the game at a leisurely pace...so much so it has infected the rest of the team and for the last 2 weeks they all are doing it!...I say if Moltz can get an out deal to go for it...I hope he develops into what he showed last year...but from what he has shown this year...he has a long way to go!.

Another key board warrior. Someone who has prob never pLayed the game.
Fair dinkum. What do yo…................. Actually don't worry

Btw. He isn't going anywhere.

how does critzsizing a players's on-field performance make you a keyboard warrior?…are we not aloud to have a negative opinion about some1?...isn't that what being a fan of any sport is about?...i think you need to look up and read what the definition of a keyboard warrior is

I think we can do better and our options are better than Moltzen. Unfortunately Timm struggles in the centres and fullback and lacks penetration he rarely attacks the football this year and is found wanting.

IMO he is better off elsewhere playing in the halves, we have plenty of depth in this area, just a fact of footy no point hanging onto players which only take up spots for more promising talent.

Moving on players is no big deal over the last few years we have moved on quite a few and we have not missed any of them. Just because there are a few with a higher personality does not necessarily mean they should be in the squad.

Every player has a life cycle on the field and it shouldn't be taken personally….we all want our team to succeed and sometimes these are the unpleasant home truths AND NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!!!!

enlighten me!!!

seriously, last year he was the messiah… this year people want him gone..
he is what? 4 or 5 PROPER games back after knee reco.. what do you want from the guy?
i wonder if his opinion was the same as Benji after 4 shoulder recos? i doubt it.. and if it was i doubt he would admit it..
People need to get off their high horse and look beyond the 12th round or what ever round we are in now.

If he goes, he WILL be one that comes back and bites us on the arse!!!
give the kid some confidence and time and he will grow to be a great player. but KEYBOARD Warriors will only look short term

I think saying a first grade rugby league player "has no heart" warrants a reply like T-Rexx"s

Incidents in not contesting the ball eg: Yow Yehs try V Broncos could be described as heartless….theres no denying it he dogged it there, and has on other occasions.
Theres no excuses and no justifictaion....nowhere to hide on a footy field surrounded by TV cameras

I agree Ink,if he is whinging about not being fullback,I say see you later son, because his form at fullback is abysmal to say the least.

Totally agree his attempt on the night was more like attempting to swat flies and if he lacks confidence he should be building it up in nsw cup not first grade.

He fails to put his body on the line and imprtantly has a real problem attacking the ball whether its in attack or defence. Has shown very little that he could handle fullback or the centres.

I still think his best position is in the halves but not in tigertown

No heart????

I will never say a first grade rugby league player has no heart, they all have heart to play the game, they all have heart to risk failure in front of family, friends and the entire rugby league audience.

Yes we in the heat of the moment will say certain things about certain incidents like "no commitment", "didnt put body on the line", "wont have a go" etc etc, but to sit down in the calm of day, and say a player "has no heart" is just wrong.

I think youre being pedantic in differentiating those sayings, most I reckon would class them as pretty much all the same….I do.

Disagree all the quotes are different and have different meanings, though I must say "has no heart"' has no place in descibing a graded footballer

Theres a big difference from talking about one off incidents compared to a player as a whole. Lacking a certain something at a certain time doesnt mean he has no heart. Well it doesnt to me anyway, because i believe saying a player has no heart is the greatest of insults, and many different factors may go into why a player doesnt commit on a certain play.

Now im not making excuses for Moltz, but to give a hypothetical example, maybe Tim's lack of commitment has nothing to do with no heart but more to do with a lack of faith in his ability, lack of confidence in his injuries, lack of faith shown to him by us? Now all this is hear say, but there has to be more to why Moltzen is lacking commitment because ive seen him show plenty of heart at times. In 2009 he took some great bombs, he made some great try saving tackles, and played more aggressively…...so for me, that says theres some underlying issues with the kid. The worst thing we did was bring him straight into first grade, because he just been hammered by everyone and his head must be in a bad place. And we all know how even the best can be aweful when there head isnt right.

You may say no heart, and im not normally one who says this "keyboard warrior" stuff, as opinions are what this forum is about, but thats a huge insult to give behind a keyboard.

a keyboard warrior is some1 who talks tough over the net making threats of physical violence not claimimg a player has no heart…quit being so over-dramatic
