Was taken to hospital for a potential fractured hip.
Not good for the big man.

Just watched the Fox post game discussion and replays and , in the context of the earlier decisions re Hopgood and Mann, it had to go on report and be a sin bin.
Or is Haas now a protected species ?

It wasn't the classic hop drop but we are seeing differing versions of this... And as they rule the onus is always on the defender to not infringe, accidentally or not.

The NRL have abit of work to do because the crack down will drive new ways injuries will happen as a player has to stop the attacker which a big part of that is weight transfer.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some serious injuries manifest because of changes to weight transfer occurring in other ways on the body.

Pretty much at a point now where any injury equals a suspension. So many of these incidents are purely incidental and unavoidable. There’s no way Haas should be suspended. RCG burst through the gap in such a way that it pulled Haas onto him. Players unintentionally get knocked out cold or dog shot them in the back and only get a fine. But if someone falls on a diving players hip, they get suspended for a match. Regardless of what people think of the tackle, copping one week is a sigh of relief.
