St George Illawarra chase compensation over Tim Moltzen cont

I didn't mean it like that Centaur I mean that when you have seen some of the unscrupulous dealings I have seen (and been on the end of ) that you will understand what I mean

Again I fail to understand the opinion of some forum members who state their case that "the Tigers" are liable in a legal /& or moral sense in this situation?????? WTF??
The facts "ARE CLEAR & UNDENIABLE" IN THIS CASE - Don't these members live in the world of "REALTY"???????
These members are certainly entitled to their opinions-"deluded & morally incorrect"though they are in this case but really guys?- "GET OVER YOURSELVES & MOVE ON"!!!! :deadhorse:

You're probably right. No point making assumptions on this when we don't have all the facts. At the end of the day Moltzen is on board for 2012 and the Dragons face an uphill battle to win any sort of compensation.

That's a fair sum up. This is only really an issue for supporters of us and StG-Ill. I doubt other fans really care and apart from some media hype when the two clubs meet next year, I don't think it's going to be a lingering issue.

You got to remember though that the dragons released that they signed moltzen just before our parramatta match when the tigers had not formally released him if the dragons did the right thing and waited for the release before announcing that they signed moltzen I don't think any of this would be happening

Don't take this personally but this looks like a case of:

Gotta love off-season threads. All this football passion and hardly anywhere to channel it.

Saints are just posturing, we all know it. They've made their public threats, media statements, plea to the NRL. They know that legally they have no recourse and ultimately the player doesn't even want to join them, so they have withdrawn all official action.

The rest is just to save a bit of face.

Sure Tigers weren't totally transparent, but no club ever is.

**Moltzen staying was something that emerged before Mad Monday, and before Lui was arrested for the 2nd time.**

And we don't know that Moltzen was "told to go find another club", we know he was given permission to talk to other clubs, which is a small but important difference. Clubs do this for a variety of reasons, it doesn't always result in the player leaving the club.

I don't condone how we acted, it was poor form. But there are some wild "facts" being thrown around in here that are off the mark.

When, what happened…I missed that bit.
Mustve been that weekend?
He thought he was going after our last game.

"Then things have turned full circle. I bawled my eyes out after my last game because I thought that was my last game for the Tigers. I thought that was it for me, that group of people."

It's going to make it even sweeter when we smack their ass first time we meet. Couldn't have happened to a nicer club.
