How long will people keep defending Brooks? He is lame. He is the worst half in the comp and it’s not as if he’s a rookie. He’s been playing long enough. He is a fail. Get Sezer. He is confident and takes the line on.

Yeah, people don't have to like him, nor not wish for better, but similar to your earlier post, he is at worst a mid level first grade half. Some may try to make a case for him being at the lower end of the scale and they are entitled to do so, though that is the extreme extent of judgement and still doesn't have him anywhere near unworthy of an NRL position.

I don’t think Madge wants Brooksey to step up and be the dominant half. In fact, he doesn’t want anyone to play that role. In the press conference tonight Madge responded to the question “Reynolds seemed to be the dominating half, was that by design or circumstance?” His response “I wouldn’t say that. Our game plan suited what we did tonight. That’s all. Everyone talks that you’ve gotta have an individual controlling but at the end of the day everyone’s got a role to play. If they do that then the halves can do what they need to in the moments in time. That’s what the top teams are doing. You don’t have to rely on one individual. It’s about everyone doing their piece. I get sick of hearing how we need a dominant half and it's good to see Madge doesn't seem to see the issue. You need the whole team playing well including the halves.

I reckon Foran is a dominant organizing half but it makes no difference unless the team is performing across the paddock.

Anyone bagging Brooks needs to watch the game again. He gets in and does the dirty work so important at the key points of the game that could have put us under enormous pressure. Didn't have have the best attacking game but his contribution defensively was first class.

Harry has stepped up into the leadership role that we all hoped Brooks wld someday fill...!

You do realise we have Joey Leilua , Garner and Nofa on the right . As well as our fullback is right handed ? There’s a reason they lead the comp for most tries down the right . Everyone was screaming for Joey to get the ball. He gets the ball and Brooks and Mbye are spectators. Seriously ? Joey was having a field day . Give the bloke the ball !!

....were paying these two well over $1.5 million between them to be a key attacking thust...and neither are close to delivering tbh.Sure their defence is sound,but thats a given for every NRL level player in a top 8 team.
I want the left hand side attack actually doing something....as if we can only attack on one side it will quickly be quashed by the better teams
Both have speed and evasiveness,but both need to have a crack

The left side is doing something. Not letting points in . And scoring occasionally. You’re looking at it wrong . It has to be in plus/minus. The left plus/minus would be towards the top of the league . Whereas the right would be league average because that’s where all our tries are let in .
I know your fantasy team might not be getting the points you want because you’ve got brooks and mbye , but back here in the real world , that side of the field is going great .

Are you just talking to yourself in the mirror ? The goal should be wins . We are scoring a tonne of points . We leak next to zero down the left . If we score 1 try that’s a plus 4 for the left . Sure it’s not going to be on your highlight reels but who cares.
The right scores 3 tries . It lets in 3 . It has an even score . . If the middle is 1 scored 1 against . That means we win by 4 points , outside of goal kicking .
This is why goal kicking is so important . But yea , there’s no flick passes out the back , tunnel ball passes under the legs , so yea .

I don’t know if it’s by design or through JRey’s stronger personality that he has developed a more influential bond with Grant? Perhaps Madge has decided to use Brooks as a running half? The trio has obviously worked together at training and developed a plan A. But in the heat of battle when time is at a premium often plan B is the default position. Either way, Brooks really needs to start being a little more demanding and spend more time with Grant. imo.

Kind of ruins the idea that they let in more than they score. We have a positive for and against so the points scored on the right will be higher than points conceded.
