Obviously unpopular opinion but I love Vossy, isn't he a Tigers supporter?

Vossy Rocks !

Then hopefully, he'll fall out of the commentary box.

Aren’t you deaf anyways ?
Stick to calling bingo old timer ...

Fluent, articulate and the right dash of humour. Clearly, Alexander is the best co-commentator.

I agree Vossy is good, but he's not for everyone. I appreciate his accuracy and his passion for the game, because you can hear it in his calls. Rabbits Warren is past his best but he's your old-school horse-race-type caller, the balance and tone of the call.

Vossy doesn't have that classic caller's voice, but he has the knowledge of the game and he's a very accurate caller, in the way Rabbits no longer is. I just like listening to a bloke who loves footy as much as I do.

Brandy is very good analytically, not great with his delivery, but he's insightful and not afraid to call a spade a spade. I also like Sterlo, I've said this before, he's wasted doing so much compering and less analysis. The other Ch 9 guys have the footy minds but can't get that across on TV - Joey and Freddy are amiable gibberers and Gus' ego drowns out his words.

Vossy is the best game commentator by a country mile. Fluent, articulate and the right dash of humour. Clearly, Alexander is the best co-commentator. Knowledgeable, astute and honest. I agree with many on here that so many of our so called commentators are inarticulate and inept, partly due to the obsession with ex players. Vossy is an example of how you don't have to have played the game to be good. I remember, many years ago, Warren Boland WAS an ex player but, then again, he was intelligent with a university qualification.

Have to respectfully disagree re Voss. I find him irritating as he places more importance on someone’s pants falling down than he does on calling the game. His desire to be light hearted and funny detracts from his commentary- but this is just my opinion and is highly subjective with personal bias

I think Vossy is the best commentator, but also he does carry on about stupid things some times so imo I agree with both of you.

Thank you for disagreeing 'respectfully' Tiger Steve. We are completely entitled to our own opinions. I much prefer Vossy to Rabbit, who really does waffle on, shout suddenly without reason and deem it necessary to describe players by their christian names, as if they were his sons....

Good summary there. I agree Sterlo is another excellent co-commentator, very knowledgeable and fair. Gould probably has the best footy brain, hence the success in coaching, but he's an egotist, and rambles on too much with tired generalisations and pretend argumentativeness. I also think Warren Smith is solid.

Yes he is passionate which is good.

David Morrow , bring him back

Graham Hughes

That’s a definite no to D Morrow...he’s still calling on 2gb and is not easy on my ears. As for G Hughes, he was great as the host of controversy corner. I saw the first episode the other night with Vossy hosting and it was terrible. He’s good in small doses Andrew.
A Moore is good caller on abc as is R Thompson on 9....and I think Sterling and Alexander are really good co commentators.

Andrew Moore is my favorite. Makes the random titans or knights game early on a Saturday relatively enjoyable when you're gardening. The right mix of nonsense and footy with experts who aren't egomaniacs or junkies.

I despised him back in the day. Had the worst habit of picking on players who were having a bad game. He hated Fitzhenry. Gave him heaps. Thought it was totally unprofessional.

I remember that. His tone would drop and he would say things like "and he runs around in circles, and does nothing, again". Have to say I shared his opinion with Fitzy in the spine (liked him as a winger).

Also I think that station he was on feeds on negativity in general. What do you think of him these days?

From what I’ve he’s much better. Still not a fan. Whether that’s the residual affect of how he used to be idk. I don’t find him particularly funny.

BOOOM...lol

Not sure if this has been mentioned but does anyone else find it ironic that Chris Heighington is now part of ABC radio's commentary team. I guess it’s a long way from his 2005 GF interview, which I still get a laugh from.

Neither can the majority of ex players in the media.
