Yeah true? I've never noticed. I still rate him but.

Vossy Rocks !

Came up with the best bit of commentary ever when Ese Ese got smashed in a game...Ese Ese was hit so hard it knocked one of the Ese’s out of his name...

Great stuff

I have no issue with him. I don’t mind any of the main play by play commentators, except Ginane. Can’t stand him.

Conversely, Brandy is probably the co-commentator I like. The rest are drips.

Love listening to Robbo he makes it so interesting.... Sheens was similar I could. Listen to them for hours

I enjoyed Matt Elliott too. He has a great footy brain.

Need a serious analytical show for people who actually want to see some decent analysis on plays and performance. Kind of like a coaches insight into where players are going right and wrong.

He’s dull but the ex panthers coach is great to listen to - can’t remember his name (off season blues)

Are you referring to Anthony Griffin.

Yes thanks! Brain fade. He’s insightful. Dry and slow but good knowledge

Terry Kennedy was ok in the early 2000's when he used to commentate on Fox.
Belcher is pretty good, don't mind him as co-commentator.
Speaking of Terry Kennedy, is Big Sports Breakfast not on Fox anymore? It seems to have disappeared this year.

Vossy is the best game commentator by a country mile. Fluent, articulate and the right dash of humour. Clearly, Alexander is the best co-commentator. Knowledgeable, astute and honest. I agree with many on here that so many of our so called commentators are inarticulate and inept, partly due to the obsession with ex players. Vossy is an example of how you don't have to have played the game to be good. I remember, many years ago, Warren Boland WAS an ex player but, then again, he was intelligent with a university qualification.

Have to respectfully disagree re Voss. I find him irritating as he places more importance on someone’s pants falling down than he does on calling the game. His desire to be light hearted and funny detracts from his commentary- but this is just my opinion and is highly subjective with personal bias

i don't think you get better game analysis than johns and gould- that's IF they can be bothered though as they dribble on too much and have the combined articulation of a chimp on cocaine

Then hopefully, he'll fall out of the commentary box.

This is the thing - did he want to be a football commentator or a comedian?

Cause when he combines the both he is atrocious.

If he would put his so called "Jokes" (and I use the term loosely) in the rubbish where they belong - he probably would be the best caller.

Until he does that, I'll give my best caller spot to Mathew Thompson.

I remember back to the mid-week competition (Rank Arena Big Game) when the story went around that Ray Warren was to be given the flick in favour of Ron Casey. Casey, who had a slight speech impediment, didn't get the gig and the story circulating was that the sponsor vetoed his appointment because they couldn't cope with him calling it the "Wanker Weiner Big Game".
Probably not true but worth a chuckle at the time.
