Fighting and battle scenes were epic ..
Story line was very lame IMO

It was very polished. For mine, with episodes 1-3, I thought Lucasfilm just thought "let's just toss heaps of cash into special effects and hope that gives us a pass mark," and anyone who was a fan prior to those movies clearly didn't appreciate that.

Disney threw a lot of money at it for the right reasons, also helps when the director is a massive fanboy as well. Plenty of plot angles there to set up the next film, I'm certainly asking a few questions of it.

I thought it was a good movie that sets up a lot of interesting potential moments for the next 2\. I never really got into Kylo Ren though as a villain though

Saw it last night with the mrs & if I had $1 for every time I had to explain what "the force" means well I just might be able to pay back Balmains debts!

Seriously though, felt just as good as going to George st cinemas as a 7 year old watching Return of the Jedi for the first time! Pretty gutted that Han Solo is gone but even more so that his passing was skipped over so quickly. Liked most of the new characters & the film definitely builds anticipation for the next two.

Could never be bothered to see the first one when it came out in the 70's because it looked like a kids movie - and every grab I saw of the early ones seemed to have the production values, scripting and acting associated with a good Teletubbies episode.
Hope for all the fans that the special effects they can create these days made it fun for you.

Come on Happy, Rocky may be past his prime but there should always be room for another Police Academy!

Re. Star Wars, yep 2 more sequels plus a few spin-off movies based on particular characters apparently. Not sure how that'll work. Maybe Mr Disney has run out of cash.

I've been watching a show called bloodline with Mendelsohn cast as the bad guy. He's absolutely brilliant in it.
