Saw it on Friday night, I thought it was well done and wrapped everything up pretty nicely. Last Jedi definitely hurt the final film but as you said JJ did probably as good a job as anyone could have with what he was given. Worth the watch for sure

Yep RoS is a good Star Wars movie. Rounded out the sequel trilogy as best it could I believe. Definitely not a perfect movie with plenty of wtf moments (not unlike our signings/rumours thread), but I enjoyed it.

As for the sequel trilogy as a whole, I don’t see the point of it. Would’ve be better if tLJ never happened & RoS made up episodes 8 & 9.

Still always good to have new Star Wars movies on the big screen!

I’m old enough to have seen the originals in the cinema and I am one of the old school fans that didn’t really like the new trilogy so far.
I mean, let’s be honest, there’s lots of issues but one that really annoys me is that as a Jedi (or Sith) you have to spend years and years honing your craft, as an apprentice, whether you be Anakin, Luke, Darth Maul, even Kylo, but Rey, who didn’t even know of the existence of the Force 5 minutes earlier, defeats everyone regardless of their experience or level. Um yeah.
I’ll still watch the last one and have generally enjoyed but originals are still the best for me.
