Is Utai taking Koro or Tedesco's wing spot. I am losing a lot faith in Potter's selection and I believe that they have a lot to do with Wests Tigers poor form.

Same spot isn't it?

I was just trying to get a handle on who is out this week, Koro or Tedesco, but we will soon know.

Ahh right. Anyway, Teddy at fullback and Utai to the left wing, Koro still a week off.

Look a question about the unknown Haven't seen Luani play this season

Luani 's getting big wraps as a backrower and a hooker

Any chance he could be turned into a 7 ??

I personally doubt it but I think he has all the makings of a very tough 9.

Agree Willow..his a tough little bugger who I think should be the replacement for Robbie during origin. The thing he lacks is a kicking game, organisational skills and is not lightning quick. With the like of Brooks /Moses already in the system I wouldn't be trying to recreate the wheel. We also need to have a contingency plan if Robbie ever gets a long term injury over the next few years and I don't see Masafa as the player to fill that potential gap. Mania Cherrington is another good prospect as a hooker and whilst not as strong in D as Luani he is very very sharp. Payten has used him as an impact player off the bench in the middle sections of the game to great effect.

luani was playing hooker for nyc a couple of weeks ago iirc?

happy to see groat there… let's see if he can make a comeback into the NRL side.

No Luani has played State Cup all this season. There are 2 Hookers Todd rotates in NYC …Cherrington is one but can't remember the name of the other.

yup you're right.. my bad.. nofoa leapai is the one

since this is the first time cherrington is the starting hooker, i thought luani was the nyc hooker that got promoted

Went down 26 - 24\. Ill discipline and goal kicking cost them.

In the wet with that many players out you can't afford to do that

Joel played Hooker in his first year of NYC in 2011 and is 21 now  could be like Hinchcliffe in his potential role in 1st Grade - play second row/hooker to give Robbie a breather or during Origin.

just got back from the game. Caught the second half only. Played at Mt Smart number 1 - a couple of small showers but mainly fine in otherwise perfect conditions.

Akauolo was tough for Vulcans to handle and made a beautiful line break from 60mtrs out from Vulcans tryline before he gave the final to pass to Brien (I think) who scored under the posts. It looked like he (Sitaleki) picked up a knee injury midway through the half - went off then came back for the last 10 mins.

Groat got some time on the paddock and still showing effects of being away for so long. He's a big unit and Vulcans found it hard to contain him when he got a good hit up. More game time needed from him to improve fitness.

Paasi was REALLY GOOD today and was a threat to the Vulcans every time he got the ball. A big, strong boy who runs it hard!!! He got a bit eager a couple times on defense by shooting out of the line but all in all a fine game from him.

Miller was best for the Tigers today IMO; controlled the game well and had a great kicking game - giving Fisiahi the Vulcans FB lots to think about.

In the last 15 minutes the lead changed maybe 4 or 5 times caused mainly from wrong last play decisions and some ill discipline from both sides that cost either team from opening up any real advantage.

Other standouts were Farlow, and Luani. Both teams tired toward the end but Tigers finished the stronger narrowly missing the winning try in the corner in the last minute.

Lots of Tigers support at the game. Sad to lose but it was an entertaining game none the less.
