State of Origin 2025

Why do I have to feel for Parramatta fans, I'm a Wests Tigers supporter and no one gives a shit about us, get out there and kill it Jerome.

Now I just want either Stefano to have a really shit game but the Blues still win despite them having to carry the big dud or option B, Stefano has a season ending injury and Terrell gets a call up and is named man of the match.

Stick that up your you know what Big Shnoz and Bellyache.

Laugh if Stefano can only manage 10 minutes like he did in the last origin appearance.

Its only QLDers talk it up when theyre winning as they got massive inferiority complex dating back to pre origin when Syd based Qld players played in the Sydney comp and were sometimes chosen for the Blues.
They get their snickers in a twix over that but when the Blues are firing us Blues fans are just happy for a good game...we dont need this to validate us = QUEEENSLANDER! 🙄

That said the moroons have been very heavily criticised rightly or wrongly...nothing from either camp just a few irrelevant ex.players trying to ignite something.
They will be stung by the criticism and the fear of a series loss tomorrow.
Neutral ground helps them....hope.its a cracker of a game and Romey comes thru unscathed.
I always love Origin and will always be a Blue even if Pus Gould is coach and 17 Galvouts are running out in sky blue.
Its ORIGIN...not state of fkn preference or state of who i like is playing.
I always love origin time but hate how it stuffs up the comp for 6 or 7 weeks.

Just saw billy slater on tv basically crying because woods had called him a grub...

What has origin come to?????
Yeah that was overkill. Woodsy was just trying to drum up interest in the series. None of those Storm players had faultless careers and mud sticks.

Slater was a dirty piece of work when he used to slide into tackles to supposedly "knock a ball loose" feet first.I have always hated him for that even though he could play.

They also kept a group together and had a lot of glory unfairly. Introduced illegal tackle techniques. The moral high ground is a stretch. I’m sure it was all banter from Woodsy and didn’t warrant that level of passion.

I don’t think he was crying at all. He made a pretty poignant statement about mental health and trying to make it aware that you never know what someone is going through. And Paul Green was a perfect example. But what does it say about Woods, introducing his son to Slater only a month ago. Didn’t feel brave enough to say it to his face? Or was he just looking for clout in the media?

And further to that, a couple of weeks ago Woods took his son and introduced him to Billy Slater. He could have said something then, but no, hides behind a microphone, not man enough to say something to Billy's face.

Grub's been a pretty standard term for a dirty player in footy forever. I don't get why it's so controversial that Woods called him a grub and Slater's response is crazy to me.

I get the point of hounding people in the media and causing them grief, but being called a grub by a NSWmen who was your opponent during your playing career, in the middle of an origin series where you're coach, is pretty innocuous. Bringing up Paul Green and sort of implying he might not have handled the media criticism was really poor taste.

Woodsy was stirring shit up for the origin.. I don't expect that you would say everything you feel to every person you know in real life, would you? So why should woods?

Nothing wrong with what woodsy did .
Just shows how weak the Qld camp is right now if the head coach is almost crying on tv because of someone calling him a grub (which he fkn was on the field).

NRL360 also just reminded us of when Billy made fun of a Newcastle player on the field who was going through mental health challenges at the time.. Different now, is it?

There is a difference between not expressing a thought to someone’s face and leaving it and then going on radio after you had a chance to tell them personally. Kind of cowardly.

That’s your opinion. How many examples do you need of suicide before you just brush it off. Your post here just proves the stigma of mental health is alive and well

You’re talking about something that happened 20 years ago. Have you not grown as a person in that time? How do you know Slater hasn’t?
