QLD played like pansies in the first game. I came to the game expecting the classic origin line speed where everyone races up looking to put big hits on in the first 20 minutes. But they played it like a regular season NRL game. If they come with that attitude again, NSW will put 40 on them.
 
This whole "quiet build up", "no hate between states" thing has gone too far.

It's a game at the end of the day. Let your actions speak on the park.

For the sake of all involved, let's move on. Let's please stop referencing this again and again, let the family accept it in peace.

I can't agree.
When public figures do shitty things they need to be held accountable for their actions. Slater invited the public stoning with his own manipulations.
If we don't hold bad behaviour accountable you end up with a despotic leader of North American nation.

You're stoning him by bringing more attention to the family.

What do you think the family wants? Do they want the entire media circus again or just to be left alone?

Now if the family reaches out to media and say something, fair enough, but if I was in their shoes, I'd just want to move on. The person who made the mistake has apologised, whether you accept it or decline it, they wouldn't want more people having shots at Slater in the name of their father/ husband.
 
My final statement on this is that this wasn't a spur of the moment comment that we can forgive.
It was a considered crafted statement over the course of a week. He made no attempt to contact the Green family to ask their opinion beforehand, and paid no consideration to the hurt it would cause them.
A decent person would've resigned as coach immediately.

It can be just about billy slater being the grub he is..

Why does everyone have to overcomplicate it? Slater is a cry baby grub...

You can't do one without the other. Especially those in the media.

QRL and NRL should put pressure internally and ask him to resign after Origin is over.

It's a delicate thing to hold someone accountable while also sweeping it under the rug.

That's my belief on it anyway.
