State of Origin 2025

He ran through the line. Stood there watching what Cleary was doing before finally deciding maybe he should move as Cleary stepped back his way. Then took about 3 steps back before the contact with Carrigan occurred.
He had heaps of time to look around before Cleary had stepped back infield. If he acted then instead of bludging and watching Cleary then he would of had heaps of time.
If, after bludging, he felt he did not have time to check behind him he has the option of moving forward to remove himself from the area and then retreat once he is clear of the play.
Moving backwards blindly where play is occurring invites trouble. I coach U/14s forwards this. It is genuinely [This word has been automatically removed]ed that NRL forwards have no concept of getting out of the way.
Such a long detailed reply deserves a like. And I'm not prepared to defend Stephanie any further.

NSW will likelynot win this game because the coaching - selections and individual performances have been ordinary - not the refereeing!

Billy does not deserve to win though - his pearl-clutching nonsense about Paul Green's death yesterday was appalling - and his apology this morning for conflating CTE with depression without consulting the Green family prior was frankly disgusting!

Woods was right - he is a grub who intentionally kicked Skando in the head at Leichhardt & got 6 weeks (but somehow that footage has been virtually wiped online)!!

Fair dink that’s a poor decision or the game is broken. The Tigpies got penalised the same not long back. What is the defender supposed to do when a bloke jumps into his arms?
We finally get a penalty and I don’t reckon it should be.
Game is broken, or that rule is at least.
What the defender is 'supposed' to do, is step back, give him space to land, then make the tackle.
Problem (one of them) is he is now tackling without any momentum and would likely not complete the tackle.
The rule should of been not tackling a player in the air below the waste. This would stop the flipping motion that the rules committee were scared of. They won't go back now.

Zac at $800+K is significatly inferior to Turuva at $550K @Vicious

At least we're only paying Doueihi $150K to play the Lomax role - missing tackles and pressure goals from kickable positions...
