State of Origin 2026

Really? Don’t think we win without his kicks tonight, I don’t like the guy but he’s has to be the longest kicker in the comp
People get blinded by hatred. Early in that game last night NSW were struggling to make yardage, Moses kicks were the thing that gave the Blues better field position (obviously with a good chase) and allowed pressure resulting in mistakes and subsequently trys. I'm not speaking for the rest of his game, but on the kicking front it was mission accomplished.

Webke called it a hollow victory because of the wrong call...i dont think so the blues dominated last night.
Look at the scoreboard Shane

At least Sammy Thaiday was a bit.more gracious and a good loser congratulating the Blues.

I agree with the usually unflappable Cam Smith ...whos clearly gutted by this... that the bunker needs an overhaul (Best try)and these so called hidden cameras viewers dont see just adds to controversy...especially after the gambling drama with Klein

I disagree,
Good players on paper don’t always make good teams. Qld generally pick good origin teams, NSW have long played favourites and pick on highlight reels.
Blokes like Jake Turbo who are barely effective at club level getting first picked.

Your math is correct, NSW did win 4 halves, but weren’t that much better in the second half last night.
Take out the goal kicking and penalty, it was 2 tries a peice and lucky not to be 3-2 your way with old mate being offside by smidgen. Points are points thought - very relieved with the win. NSW played better than they half all series and QLD Played worse - in the end, the Ponga send off in game 1 was the deciding factor, not NSW dominance.
Also don’t agree on being man for man outmatched, 3/4 of the QLD spine are better players most days of the week.
2 minutes. Thats all it was. The difference between going to QLD 2-0 down and going there for a decider. The Ponga send off kept the Blues alive.

QLD players and explayers must at some point realise the futility of complaining about the ref and bunker. The same old losers lament, none of the 50/50s went their way like they were supposed to for the favourites at a home ground decider.
One things for sure, Loza won’t be regretting getting some tips from Madge.

Might be Madge’s calling card if he gets punted again…
Just a pre game speech specialist

Said it from the start that NSW has the better team..

Haas, Cleary, Moses, Yep, Murray, critta and Teddy are generational players.

NSW dominated this game and Qld dominated the second game.

In terms of the first game, Ponga was off for 23 minutes and even if he was only sin binned, NSW would have piled on the tries.

50-50 in the series and the team that won the bigger moments won the series.

Loz needs to now ride off in the sunset. All the negative articles helped him. These players need a new purpose to play for each week and they found it with all the Laurie bashing.

With the squad Laurie has, the series shouldn't even have been close.

Unless my memory fails me some of the series when Daley was coaching against what is considered one of the best SOO spines in the history of the game were lost by a whisker and he did manage to win one of them.
It's never just about the coach in SOO - arguably ( because both sides argue about decisions) refereeing has often had more impact in the close ones.

I said from the start there was nothing between the two teams on paper....Blues slighty ahead there perhaps

But on current form, which I think is far more important...the Qld team were far ahead, especially in the halves

Howeve Slater couldnt get them up last night, 47000 Qlders couldnt get em up...they were very poor across the park despite easily stripping NSW for numbers in the red zone numerous times
Quite embarrasing for Slater imo Daley getting a number over him...maybe he should just focus on a darker shade of maroon ..like purple

Gotta disagree. NSW on paper has a much better team. It's a pitu they played so bad first two games.

Qld weren't poor yesterday. They scored 3 tries, Blues scored 5. One of them was a no try, one in 80th minute and then disallowed offside try.

NSW won the moments but Qld were always in it.

Moses long kicking game got them out of trouble when Qld was dominating.

He also got Newy to a prelim final, which is often overlooked. Left them with a lot of guys who were cooked though when he left.
Actually, some of those cooked stars kept going.

Darius Boyd was thought to be done, he wasn't.
Dane Gagai was regarded as too old to play! He is still going now.

What Happened to Alex McKinnon was horrible. I don't know if Wayne coached for it, but I do know most coaches would struggle. I agree with your point, he got Newcastle from spoon to prelim final. Had that serious injury not happen then Wayne probably would have gotten Newcastle more. It did, move on and work out how to get Wayne Bennett here.

Moses over Munster?
Robson over Harry?
Tedesco over Ponga?
Doubtful!!

You could also argue Hammer is a better centre…
Cleary and Haas are probably well ahead as their opposites, also Hudson and maybe Martin.
I would argue they had the better Wingers for the whole series
- Mark was lucky last night.

‘Much’ better team on paper,
I think that’s a stretch!
