The kid needs to go to the Players association for assistance. Denying him the right to sign a professional contract, support his family out of spite for us is very wrong. It has nothing to do with the player, and everything to do with us.

They have at least 4 of our players at the moment (Ray Stone, Moses, Brown and Matterson) possible others I can't remember

Because I expect competency from our leaders. Was Parra NOT releasing this kid a "favourable outcome" in us giving them Matterson immediately?

Apparently they offered him 3 different contract upgrades in the last month or so and he still chose to sign with us so hopefully can resist a few more, hopefully. 😅

He didn't stay with tehm as they keep signing senior props like RCG, Paulo etc and they already have a number of props on their roster. We're light on props and could even be on the bench in round one. The only way they could entice himtos stay is to release 2-3 of their more senior props!

Yes...agreed.

We have given teams a NZ int plus a NSW 18th man...

And yet can't even grab a dev contract player back in the deal. We had to keep Matterson another month for leverage. He was refusing to train, so we would not have even had to pay him / fines.

If we still had him, we could have swapped for this kid easily.

We helped Parramatta ...now they won't help us.

Shame the player culture has taken a nose dive and there is unrest between the whole player group, but doesnt matter because we feel like tough guys.

Missed for 2020, for now. He’s signed to us from 2021. If they want to spend 2020 developing a kid who will be gone the year after, let them. Shows what idiots they are.

We don’t need anything in return from Parra, just the money that was freed up by Matterson. Mitchell hasn’t worked out, so we move on to the next fish.
