They both played well. Both are young and are still learning.

Madge will get the best out of them?

Was Blore dropped or was he injured?

The one-two punch these two gave us with the ball in the second half was noticeable. I can’t remember the last time we had that.

These two are our future.

Other teams would already be sniffing around Stef. My Crystal ball has uncle Nick in the frame.

Agree ... Time to extend his deal and give him a pay rise from next year to make it happen.

Stefano is a beast jury still out on Tom, I think he has big potential although his hands are a bit iffy he has a lot of 6 agains in him and the odd brain snap.

They were the two, along with Luc, who clearly didn't look like plodders out of our forward pack. Stef clearly the pick of the lot. Blore and Seyfarth will hopefully get more development over the next few years and perhaps we can jag TPJ. You're looking at a promising pack out of that group.

How's Stefs early comparisons to Haas...

I think it was cos of his size.

He's definitely trimmed down and lost some of the baby fat we saw in the trials.

The guy looks absolutely huge.
Tall, muscular, athletic.
He's going to be a real problem.

Haas is definitely tall but his rig is still a bit on the softer side. No reason Stef can't become the better player.

NSW definitely have a look of good future prospect. Stef > Safiti

I think this is a dumb post, to be worrying about other clubs at this early stage in Stefano's career. They can't touch him until season 2024. Focus on what he can achieve with Tigers in the now.

How did it work out with Matterson, Aloiai etc?

Don’t presume we wont be played for fools again.

They both led from the front.
I can’t believe the Eels let Stefano go.

I think not releasing him early last year, only to play him 5 mins in a few games showed they were reluctant to let him go. I remember reading reports Stefano didn't want to play with them because of how they treated his brother.

Suck it Parra...he's going to be a star.

The future of our front row pairing. I've always thought Mikaele had it in him to perform, whilst inconsistent, I've thought he has been very good when starting. The emergence of Stefano is something that I didn't think would come so quickly but he is our best front row prospect I have seen.

Well done young men!

Stefano Yes - still not convinced about Tom

Tom's hands let him down ..he learn's to hang on to the ball and cuts down the silly stuff .....

It’s interesting you mentioned that. Stefano was signed a full season early and didn’t push for a release. I can’t see him being a sulk type player at all.

Matto had a history and many rumblings within Easts he was abit of a golden boy.

Who are the "etc"? You mean Matterson and Aloiai... and that's it?

The problem with a guy like Aloiai is he comes in and demands the big bucks, when he isn't a player of that calibre. Matterson also on a modest deal at Tigers and decided he'd undersold himself. Interesting though, the year he was with us he was called into the Origin squad - hasn't been sighted since.

Don't know if people realise but Josh Aloiai hasn't played since Rd 8, he's out injured for 3 months - not expected back until Rd 22.

If Stefano plays great and demands the big bucks, I'm sure we'll happily offer him the big bucks, and deservedly so. Not some dog who walks into your office with a deal from another club and a demand for money above his station.

Agreed, Mikaele needs to run straight, at the hole and not the defender and also to stop pulling up when he’s supposed to be putting pressure on a kicker or man in possession … so often he could make a tackle or hit the kicker before he even kicks it but he just sort of concedes the other player the time . I’m sort of amazed none of the coaching staff has pointed this out to him , it’s pretty blatant sometimes with him …. Shame because he does have a lot of potential if some areas could be improved slightly
