Would have been nice if our coaching/management team at the time had the forethought & chose to invest in developing Paseka instead of giving him up to Manly.

He would make a dynamic prop rotation with Stefano!

Instead we invested in Tim Grant - Russell Packer - Ben Matulino - Josh Aloiai - James Tamou ....

Terrible retention decisions. The top clubs don't make those type of mistakes or they at least have a ready made replacement.
Have to admit, I'm happy knowing plenty of Parra fans are cursing they lost Stefano and Paps to us and still have our soggy leftovers in Matto and Moses

Aloiai was loved when he was here.

Did you see him play against us. He hits it up better than basically every prop in the game.
Just another in a long list of players who go to another level when they leave our system. And they say the halfback couldn’t 🤔

Tatola and Paseka are on the list of the props we did not value, also we decided to keep Lovett and did not value N Brown 🤔

Paseka is a hard one - Manly offered him a lot as a young player and by reports Tigers thought it was over-priced.

This is Paseka's 5th season at Manly and you would argue he's only really become an effective / reliable first-grader in 2021. That's a long time to sink into a junior whilst also paying them top dollar to outbid their old club.

In the meanwhile Tigers went and signed one of the best young prop prospects in the game, also forking out good money, but Stefano is already a superior product than Paseka.

So if you are arguing on the concept of "keeping them all" and ignoring the realities of salary cap, then yes we'd be better off right now with Paseka than without. But if you are making a comparison between Stefano and Paseka, it's no contest we have the better player.

Junior Tatola - I honestly still think he's an average player, no better than a Twal. He has simply been playing in a superior and better-coached team.

What's interesting about Manly is just how often they have recently raided Tigers for their forwards options - Paseka, Sironen, Taupau, Aloiai, Tuilagi... rumours on Garner.

He was possibly even better for us. It's just a player at their peak leaving us. I reckon Kev Naqiama is the classic example. He was just reaching his peak and then we let him go.
