Lawrence is past it unfortunately

I reakon Madge is past it. I know I'm past it. He's been to a few clubs, I wonder what he honestly thinks about the club.

Well Madge certainly has issues after last night, however i also liken him to Dean Pay came into a Club with the following issues.
* Roster is not worthy of a Top 8 team
* Some player contracts are extraordinary. (Mybe/Reynolds/Packer)

If you also look at the half time video last night you can see Mybe not looking at the coach and listening, Play him at your own peril.

Seems an odd decision to install Mbye as Captain..that was MaGuire's alone..

He also preferred Reynolds for a while there over other options..Packer also appears to be back in favour..

I could understand hamstrung.... if he never used these guys like ever..but it's wearing thin IMO

Captain Underpants is very clever I'll pay that..well done..

Thanks glad you liked my satirical post on Underpants.
Well Mybe talks the talk but not the walk, if that what Madge did well he has to take a large part of the blame.
Was a supporter of Madge until last night, thought it was childish kicking the chair at half time, we were in front and need at game plan.
Right guys i am bringing Brooks on the close out the game in the last 20 mins, i need my right edge to stop there off loads etc - what was the plan?????

To be brutally honest they were a patched up side with players going home and we thought we only needed to show up to win. One forum member said it in the warm up we did not look switched on - surely the coach can see that as well.

- There is a reason that Walters has not played much NRL, he is not up to it
- Mbye adds little
* Incorrect selections - Twal should of been on bench to start

* Marshall was missing tackles again
* Mybe woeful again - Captain Underpants (Drop)
* Grant looked like he needed a rest - Worst game for us

Have heard users comment for past few weeks that players(Doueihi, Mbye and Grant) appear to be playing with niggling injuries, and hope they aren't.
Agree with comments the other day that Walters was good for that Broncos game but otherwise is only good off our bench. But also agree with others and would rather just play Brooks with Reynolds on bench - whether you like them as players or not, Brooks and Benji is a better pairing and JR does bring more impact.
This whole Brooks from the bench is a failed experiment that does not benefit this team - or his confidence or form - in any capacity.

The most obvious error by Madge is our team selections, specifically our bench and interchange use. We do not have the Burgess bros at the peak of their careers in this team. It's mostly of workhorse types with a real lack of firepower to work off the back of anything, anyway.
Never watched the game and really don't think I can based upon comments as it's hard not to feel disheartened.

What's the go with this one out play?? Funnily enough our team is suited to this new type of footy but the game plan is a little disparaging tbh.
And why did we change what was working on the left(Brooks and Garner) to also cripple great attacking structures on the right (Leilua, Benji, BJ and Nofo)?? I get countermeasures and all but why fix what's not broken? Wouldn't it have been better to use play Reynolds(and bring Benji from bench) if there were concerns with Benji's defensive issues.

Good informed feedback for someone who did not watch the game, lucky you.
It seems your ? the coach and i tend to agree with those observations.
Until last night thought we were moving in a good direction until it all came crashing down to earth again, well another season lost.

Good on Nofo replying but I'd like to know how the club has come a long way in the last 7 years.

Not suprised Nofo responded as he wears his WT heart on his sleeve like supporters do.I wish a few of his teammates felt the same way.Nof is a very proud representative of our club like Robbie was before him

That made me laugh and i certainly needed one after last night:+1:

Reynolds has same manager as Barrett would not be surprised to see Reynolds at dogs.

Also manages Ivan.

Manager has something happening at the dogs

McKinnon said knights would not sign Foran and back the 6 they have there already I’d say it would be a swap with Reynolds and Foran to us.

Not sure why players playing with niggling injuries is such an issue? Players have been doing it for years and with groups like the players union and advancements in sports science and medicine I’m comfortable that no coach would select a player that didn’t present fit enough to play before a game or that a player would knowingly go out if injured.

Injuries didn’t lose us the game against the warriors. I was always concerned about consistency with our young crop playing the way they have for the last 3 - 4 weeks. even more concerned when Packer was ruled out. We needed his experience and support running last night. I haven’t been impressed with packers discipline since his return but I have been with his leadership.

We lack speed in our fullback and back line . that’s not because AD is injured its because he just isn’t fast enough. I agree with those on the forum he should probably play 5/8 or centre if he can - I don’t know enough about him. I think Mbye is definitely a better attacking option at full back, he has pace - also chimes in nicely with the sweeping backline plays on both sides. We also need a full back who follows the play and can keep up when a line break is made.

Brooks and Benji should be our halves pairing for the rest of the year.

BJ and Nof should be right side. Left side is the only side I’m not sure about, can AD play centre? Cause TT at centre and a debutant would be a risky option but maybe worth trying if we aren’t having luck with other combos or if we drop out of the race for the 8.

We wouldn't be any worse off if a swap occurred

Problem is we won’t be any better off.

No, we’d be better off for sure

Foran for all his injury issues is an upgrade on what we have not got and need desperately ..... a game manager and a leader.
I’d give him a go for sure.

The thing is though, a swap wouldn’t occur.
Barrett won’t take Reynolds at full freight probably half so about 400k and Foran is off contract and probably won’t accept anything under 600k.
By my reckoning signing Foran will cost us 1 million dollars....

Regardless of Foran if we can move on Reynolds at half freight we should take it.

Yes regardless.
But the replacement needs to be value otherwise It’s a waste of cap space.
Probably would be worthwhile trying to swap Reynolds with Jackson or Tolman.
If I was Brooks agent id offer him as well. Barrett could do wonders with him.
