Storm play dirty

just one game I would like to see open slather on storm, with nothing put on report, or match reveiw committe take action.
give it to them all game.
chicken wing, crushers, the one where they "accidentally" step on opponents calf muscles, wrestle them to oblivion.

then watch their coach cause a massive up roar.

they play dirty, give it to them,
they want to fight, then fight
they make you bleed, then make them bleed, alot.

Could not agree more.

You forgot that you can also kick someone in the face when you a catching a ball (Slater).

Being offside 3 out of 4 times that a kick goes up (Slater again).

Protected species.
 
on form Storm should win by 30\. They are a well drilled team, where everyone knows what their game is. They are way too smart for us.

Whereas we play by the seat of our pants and hope Benji has a good day..

All I want to see is Slater under a stack of bombs.

If they can just eliminate the Billy Slater leg pull after the player is held, I'll be happy.
 
It was against the rules. Simple as that. Personally I don't find it clever or brilliant - certainly no more than any other illegal play. Sure its successful - so was rorting the salary cap, the chicken wing or any of the other crappy stuff they've pulled to get an advantage…

Just about the best post I have ever read on here. For once it would be great to see a team come up against them with the sole intent of maiming them and inflicting damage, they wouldn't like it at all. You only have to look at the way Slater thrashes around and lashes out when he is belted in a heavy tackle…it is like a tomcat with it's nuts caught in the fence.
Nothing against a team that plays hard as they possibly can but these dirty bludgers play it a little differently. Would be great to see someone stand up to them after some of these grotty tactics and give them the treatment Fa'alongo dished out to Braith a few years ago (to his credit Braith didn't drop though).
You only have to hear Bellamy's "what do you want Billy to do...chop his foot off?" comment after his kung-fu boot on Klemmer to see that these arrogant bastards feel they are entitled to do what they want.
C'mon somebody, deliver some pain on the Storm and watch 'em squirm. Someone...anyone?! (I think the Roosters might try it when they meet). Here's hoping.

IMO this makes him a football genius who constantly uses innovation and deficiencies in the rules as well as the ineptitude of the officials to his advantage as per his mandate….the continued success of his side on the paddock. Completely agree. The best coaches over the years like Gibson, Bellamy, Gould (like him or not) pushed the boundaries so far that it is only because of them and their innovations that the rules changed. Kudos to them.

I wouldn't if we were intentionally cheating the salary cap, I wouldn't blame the NRL, I'd blame our administrators, coaching staff and players that were cheating.
 
not talking about blame, but im sure most tigers fans (and storm) know and claim they've won a premiership(s) in the last 10 years even if it was stripped.
 
Yeah and im saying I wouldn't consider us winning a premiership and would be surprised if most people would.
 
I agree with the OP, I hate how they go about things.
The example given is classic storm subtle breaking of the rules and it annoys me.
The leg pulls, crushers the kneeling on calves.
not to mention the off field not so subtle cheating, they represent everything I hate about professional sports, win at all costs, the good of the game be dammed. While ever the results determine people's livelihood they will have the same attitude which sees rules bent loop holes exploited and no regrets
 
it will be interesting to see if these grubby tactics continue, after their current coach eventually moves on.
 
Because they play slimy new dirty tactics. Takes the officials 8 weeks to notice what the latest Storm move is, and then another 8 to take action
