Storm players

Blair don't like Benji,Lima is over rated, but Tolman is a gun,we should move quick on him.

Captain Awesome, as much as I hate to say it - you are right.
It would be awful to the game to let the talent leave our code but seriously, in any other company, if employees were found to be cheating money then they wouldn't be keeping their jobs.

How much space do we have under the cap?? or how should i put it.How much money does Ian Schubert think we have available to spend??

Realistically If we off loaded a couple of players i think we could afford Lima,Blair,& Tandy
8.Galloway
10.Lima
11.Ellis
12.Blair
13.Heighnington

14.Fulton
15.Gibbs
16.Tandy
17.Fafita
Shut the gates :sign:

I though this might be a pretty valid topic given current events, and i cant see a lot of their players remaining there, so some quality will become available on the market pretty soon.

They had the opportunity to release Jeff Lima which could have lessened the amount they were over for 2010, but they chose to continue cheating - and this is after Waldron had left.

For me:

Aidan Tolman - A young prop with a huge future, and someone you can build a forward pack around. His go forward is undeniable and we still need another fiery prop.

Billy Slater - It goes with out saying. He is always in the right spot, his kick returns are electric, and im frothing at the combination he could form with Benji and Robbie.

I know under salary cap restrictions we could probably not afford them, but I am interested in other supporters opinions as to who they whould choose and why..

Open slather…

Might never happen. I thought we were still after Lima early in to this year tho.

You never know.

Its a good topic to have some banter about either way.

I'd take Tolman over Lima any day, Tolman has more scope and would be cheaper.

And about 9 years younger,Tolman has it all over Lima,Lima doesn't seem to want to come back anyway.

Lima is over rated

He has easily been in the top 10, probably 5 props in the last 4 seasons… Over-rated? You are kidding

I wouldn't swap Galloway,Gibbs or Fifita for Lima, and he has more mistakes in his game than all 3 of ours I mentioned.

Whatever NRL club any of the stars go to will be closely looked at by the auditors imo. Better off out of it to be honest and stick with our currentl strategy. We have been told we will be signing a marquee player for 2011 if this is one of the storm players at a knock off price great but the TIgers have to make sure it's as transparent as humanly possible.

we have enough room for one big name in the club according to sheens

1\. Slater
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuiaki
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen

GUN!!!

Why would we want any of there top 4 players they are all greedy cheats! Top players in the game earn good money these days the bottom players need to be paid more imo. Example if Slater earns 400k a year and his career at the top of his game lasts 10 years thats 4mil plus sponserships ect. Also most of the top players enjoy cushy jobs in the game after they retire anyway.
Imho if you are a top player and you stick with your club throughout your career are a good club man you are a LUCKY LUCKY person and will be set for life.I can understand players chasing money in other codes but imo money isnt everything and thats the way I look at life.
