it would be a combination come true…we would have an established halfback and moltzen could concentrate on fullback..not to mention what it would do to our depth!

we have enough room for one big name in the club according to sheens

1\. Slater
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuiaki
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen

GUN!!!

Pffft….I don't want the grub anywhere near a Wests Tigers jumper...He's a cat of the highest order....don't care how good he is...I would Booo....Slater when his named was announced....BOO....

I'll take Cronk but only for this year...

Ryan
Tuqiri
Ayshford
Lawrence
Fitzy...I know

Bunji
Cronk

I wouldn't take Cronk. The Tigers have Moltzen, Lui, Lazarus, Taumata…there's enough depth in the halves. I wouldn't take Slater either, I'd be looking for a front rower, Tolman or Lima would be good but I posted an earlier article with Humphreys saying he's happy with the playing roster the Tigers currently have.

we already had a cooper cronk play for us the previous three seasons didn't we?!!

sure did, he is now playing the position that best suits him.
it will be interesting to see if any of the higher salary paid players do actually leave the storm.
when it all settles down I would not be suprised if news limited, who employ Bellamy, re-locate him to coach broncos.

I know we probably cant afford him and theres probably other reasons but….

Can we get a hold of Brett finch for halfback or maybe some other storm players that may be let go???

We sure need a number 7 and some more size wouldnt hurt.

Interesting news people…Channel 9 just reported that not only are the Storm $700k over this year's cap, they will be $1.2 million over next year's cap due to backloaded contracts. It means they have to cut loose several players. It was mentioned that Ryan Hoffman, Jeff Lima, Aiden Tolman and Brett Finch are all likely to leave.

Get em all

This is the summary as I have it currently based on the media reports running around.

* Melbourne backloaded contracts for next season, some reports suggest they are already 1mil in the red
* Reports of 5 players are off contract, the value of those is around 600k.
* With each player the Storm release they have to sign a player on at least a min contract of 55k

So if they don't re-sign Lima(he has been released), Tandy, Tolman, Maddog Jnr, Finch and that saves the Storm around the 600k of current salaries, 5 players to replace them will cost 275k leaving them only putting a dent of 325k which indicates that they have to get rid of at least 1 if not 2 of there star players to fall below the cap for next season (unless they sign a new deal backloading the contract for another season instead of course).

When you put players and $$$ value to the scandal it puts things in a true perspective as to how far infront they are playing roster wise doesn't it?

Were still desperate after 5 years to find a replacement forScott Prince…aI remain unconvinced about any of our no 7s at this stage(& hope they prove me wrong),so Cronk wld have the most impact for Tiges.Unfortunately Souths need him more than us ,& what Rusty wants....
Dont need Hoffman or Smith,Inglis too pricy plus nowhere to put his boat,Slater &/or Lima worthwhile if affordable

Sika Manu and Brett Tolman would be the 2 players from the Storm I think we are a realistic chance of getting who could really improve this side. Tolman will more than likely be a NSW prop this year and is probably the most improved player this season. Manu is a bit more explosive than Tolman and would change games off the bench.

i think target Adam Blair perfect replacement for Todd Payten and also aint affraid to get his hands dirty. Him Tolman Manu and Lima would be targets
