Stuart not waiting to start Blues revolution

Fair call on Hunt CB - but we already have rookies in Mannah & Snowden ahead of him!

I reckon Gower will step straight into another former-Tiger's boots in Saffy at Kogarah - & will start the year in first grade!

And with both Hunt & Weyman returning from injury - you may be right - he could even get the starting gig in time!!

As for the possibility of Bennett opting for Cuthbertson - that I believe is the first sign that the Mayans were right about armageddon in 2012!!!

EDIT: Do you also agree with Hunt as the bolter Deano?? He is another Saint!!

Strong team although I'm not sold on Whatmough, Weyman or Hayne.

Always get a laugh when Jennings is named the selection of players of this calibure are the reason NSW are QLD whipping boys ..Jennings is the classic one trick poney I don't rate this guy in any area other than having some pace he has to be put in space because he can't create it himself …and the appointed of Stewart well it pays to have friends in the right places .. !

Aside from his blistering pace - he does have some excellent footwork and a classic swerve - but I am also not sold on him as a big match player!!

I would however say he'd look great running off Robbie & Benj!! They'd take his game to a new level!!

Jennings has phenominal speed and if his halves are pushing the ball wide to get the ball to him early enough for him to beat sliding defence and find the gap he is lethal. Problem is the calibre of NSW halves in the last two years have been woeful, with either no foresight in play or just plain out of their depth.

Agree totally CB - as my previous post states - Farah & Marshall would make him great!!!

If Mannah gets a gig at starting front row for Eels and excels then I would pick him starting front rower for NSW as well.

1\. Hayne
2\. Morris/Uate
3\. Lawrence
4\. Lyon/Jennings
5\. Gordon
6\. Carney
7\. Pearce
8\. Snowden
9\. Farah
10\. Gibbs/Mannah (refer above)
11\. Lewis
12\. Gallen
13\. Heighno

14\. TLL
15\. Gibbs/Mannah
16\. Bird
17\. Gidley

***Note: Weyman, Creagh, Watmough, Cooper nowhere near this side at ALL!!!!!

First guys picked is Farah & Bird. Name Farah Captain, and then you gotta find room for Dugan; Snowden; Minichello. Lawrence must play Left Centre, then you gota have a big unit to mark Inglis. Scott didnt work last year, he is too stupid and forgot to play football. My picks for that job would be either Champion or Lyon

I'd keep Carney on the Bench for spark and impact. He showd in the Four Nations he isnt quite ready and another 12 months and a taste of Origin will most likely complete him…

Watto - Champion is far from big enough to truly deal with Inglis (he is lanky yet not close to Greg's height/weight) - I reluctantly have to give that to Lyon - who is more robust & experienced! Beau could prove me wrong in Melbourne - but I'll need that before I can endorse him!

Outside of Rowdy & Gaz - NSW possesses limited size in our quality centre ranks - and that is another reason why Ayshford could go onto bigger things in future years by staying there (he is quicker than Mal or Geno ever were)!!!

I totally agree with your point regarding Carney (especially if Pearce gets the 7 - as he is still a long way from being the footballer he promises to be)!!! But I note you offer no 5/8th solution!!

Anasta had a great season for the Roosters in both 2009 & 2010 + his added maturity means he should be heavily considered!!! His size & robustness could be a great asset!

(I find it hard to admit when a player has far exceeded my rating of them - but Braith has done that in a struggling 2009 team - and in an over-achieving 2010 team!) He is far from a genius - but he is a genuine footballer who has (as per my adage) got better with age!!

Agree with Farah being captain 100%. No other choice IMO.

I reckon Carney would thrive under the Origin spotlight. They've just got to keep pretenders out. Creagh should have been struck NTBSA (thanks Red!) after game 3 2009, Barretts claim to fame was a cheap shot to Inglis in game 2 2009, Beau "defensive specialist" Scott was a disgrace and Hayne is an abomination in defense. NSW need to pick players where they belong. Just cause Hayne scores points for Parra at FB doesn't mean he will mix it against the best backline in the world (add Lote to that this year!) QLD went out on a limb about five or six years ago with kids plus a couple of old heads and it paid dividends. NSW needs to do the same, but show some sense at the same
time.

Anyone would be effective against Inglis in his present state. A clean leg wrap would bring him
down.

At this point in time, Inglis would be more at home in the front row

I'd go with a similar side except, i'd have Dugan over Hayne and instead of Gidley, I'd have another forward to keep the pack fresh.

I dont see the need for a utility back who is unlikely to get much game time, and if he does come on for a sympathetic 20 minutes to replace a fit player, it would likely weaken the position if anything.

If someone does break down, with Carney, Lewis, Lyon and Bird there, they can fill in another position. E.g If Dugan gets injured, Carney can go to fullback, and Bird can go to 6\. If a centre or winger gets injured, Lewis can go there and a 2nd rower can come off the bench, and so forth.

Tim Brasher debuted for NSW in Game 3 of 1992 off the bench - and came on for an injury to ET with 20 minutes left - he set up a try and kicked two goals (including one from the sideline) and was almost man-of-the-match (Stuart got it)!!

He then went on to play every game for NSW at fullback from 1993 to 1998 inclusive (18 straight games)!!

I doubt Brash thinks a back on the bench for cover is a waste of time Jazza!!!

Gallen already has the job!! It has been assured to him by Sticky!

And rightly so.. It always pays to give your Knuckle-head / Team Bully authority, for some reason it seems to bring the best out of them (Great Idea IMHO).

Chris Lawrence is the only Young Centre to mark Inglis, though from memory they play on opposite sides. Other than that I they may opt again for Old man Cooper.

Finally I don't thing Duggan from the Raiders is quite ready to unseat Hayne from the No1 spot

Why do you say this? Dugan can actually defend and has the same attacking prowess as Hayne. Hayne is unorthodox and low-percentage play footballer who can't defend to save himself.

Hayne even at his young age (Same exact Birthday as Tim Mannah) is NRL hardened.

On his day he is Great for the Eels and in Blue. He was played out of position last series and the eels all were crap in 2010.

Duggs is emerging - He isnt beating the door down just yet.

PS CB - Have you seen this website http://thingsboganslike.com/ - I found it yest. (Willows gonna Kill me)
