Stuart on Farah and Sheens

Farah was picked to play from the bench against England, but dropped off when Locker passed his fitness test, he was then set to play wales but got news of his mum and returned home

despite all this garbage I could never cheer on QLD, dunno how any New South Welshman could…its the jumper I support, not those in it or the coach....some fickle fans here, all crapping on about Stuarts loyalty then showing none emselves

That was the most BITCHY article I have read in a long time. Stuart is a petulant little turd. There is obviously some deep seeded bad blood between Ricky and his former coach.

Whether what Stuart wrote was accurate or not, it was entirely the wrong forum to air his dirty laundry. Very very poor form. Sheens must be livid with that pile of dribble.

The last time Robbie played for the Blues I think he was playing injured. Whatever it was he was way bellow his best. I'd like to see him get another go but I am a Tigers supporter. I reckon they will go with DB even though there is no future in it.
What Ricky Stuart said in the paper tells me he has a major chip on his shoulder. Also it is typical Daily Telecrap.

No matter who they pick I reckon the Blues are on a hiding to nothing. We may have had a chance of winning the first game (and maybe the series) if it was played in Sydney. When I first heard it was to be in Melbourne I couldn't believe it. 90% of the crowd will be going for Queensland who never seem to move their home games. Its just crazy taking the first game interstate. :crazy

"One of my strengths in life is being loyal and I don't have any regrets for that, although I have learned that this strength has at times been my biggest weakness. Loyalty is a rubbery word in the NRL. So many people use it to fit their own agenda and it gets to a point where they make the word almost meaningless."

Ditching the Canberra for the Dogs, I wonder if the Raiders think your definition of the word "loyalty" is meaningless?

This article is rubbish, from someone under pressure to perform when they have not seen any success in years. He inherited a superstar team and the roosters and destroyed them, he walked into a cronulla team who were starting to improve and set them back years.

I know your probably desperate for a snipe but at least get your facts straight. There was no 'ditching' when he left Canberra, he was forced out along with Clyde. So your point about loyalty in that instance is irrelavent

Ouch, there is no love lost between Stuart & Sheens.
Surely Stuart isn't still burning that Sheens forced him out of the raiders or is it sour grapes over Sheens being kangaroos coach a position that Stuart never wanted to let go?

Sheens was long gone when Stuart was forced out. Big Mal was in charge by then

I think some people are over reacting a little bit.

Firstly Sheens took a shot at Stuart. Stuart has every right to respond. All be it, I agree that the tone of Stuarts article was unprofessional.

Secondly, Stuart makes a point I 100% agree with and its this comment which I **HATE** hearing from New South Wales supporters. That comment is "NSW need to stick with there players". The fact is our players havent been good enough to stick with. Queensland do have the luxury of having Inglis, Smith, Cronk, Slater, Thurston, Hodges as well as in the past Folau, who pick themselves in any side in the world. NSW dont have that luxury and can't just say in the case of "Mitchell Pearce" they need to stick with him for 5 years, as Pearce hypothetically has to start doing somthing. The fact is NSW players haven't taken their chances. That includes Farah who deserved to be dropped in 2009\. Even Brett Stewart has really done very little in origin. But like Farah I think he deserves another go.

The dissapointing thing about the article is that I just do not see what Buderus has done to get the call up. And it pains me to hear people state him as an automatic selection. How much football have these people watched this year?. In saying that, Farah needs to step up. I would pick him as the NSW number 9, but based on this years form there is no hooker in the NRL who really deserves the jersey.

Michael Ennis hasn't fallen out of favour. He is playing injured and it is affecting his form, but testament to his character he is refusing to stand down so he can continue to help out the Bulldogs.
>
That's highly admirable. What coach wouldn't love that in their player?

Oh here we go, another 'Ennis is a tough' player comment :unamused:

Another excuse to feed the myth that is Ennis :brick: So his poor form comes down to an injury he is carrying  Farah has been playing injured for the past few years and even during that time was still ahead of a FIT Ennis. Farah's injuries were never used as an excuse as much as Ennis' have the past few weeks.

I feel sorry for Farah. Even if he was to score 4 tries, set up another 10, kick 3 40-20's and make 80 tackles each game leading up to Origin he still won't be in calculations for the blues.

Ricky Stuart spoke his mind. he is entitled to that.
whilst alot of us get very peed off Robbie does not get picked alot, we have not control over that.
all robbie can do is to play outstanding footy during all origin time, and make the selectors look stupid.

then when Origin over, and if Qld win-again- I would enjoy being the person asking the question of **Why Robbie was not picked. then listen to their ramble and reply with, " well if you don't let him have a go, you will never know."**the silence swould be deafening to that, and watch their skin tone change to red.

The problem with Stuart is himself….He THINKS he is a GREAT Coach....At the Roosters it was Gus who made him...when left to his own devices he failed miserably....then he went onto Cronulla, he had a better team than what Flannagan has yet he failed there too and was shown the door....what does he then do to inflate his standing in the ranks...he decides to sell himself on PASSION..so he gets the NSW gig and reckons he has instilled PASSION in the blues jersey...what crap!...the person responsible for restoring PASSION in the blues jersey is Gallen not turd man Stuart...as far as i'm concerned Stuart has not earned the right to criticise Sheens as Tim has achieved much more as a coach than Stuart ever will.....Oh yes, Stuart also lost the gig as Aussie coach due to his poor record and who replaced him and has been successful...maybe that why Stuart has so much acrimony towards Sheens...and when he loses 3-0 against QLD this year he will add one more failed gig as a Coach to his impressive resume....why in the heck is this guy being touted as a great coach is beyond me....Stuart your a GOOSE and so is your mate L.Daley!

Buderus was a bench player in the English SL…...........and he's hardly played a decent game since he came back.

Reality = Ricky is an idiot.

Buderus wont last 80 minutes in Origin, and this alone will cause headaches at the selection table

No headaches for the nsw brains trust (selectors) at all Watto. Buderus to do nothing for 60 minutes and Hinchcliffe to come off the bench to do nothing for the other 20 minutes. Easy!

It wasn't Gus who made him… It was Graham Murray... Sticky inherited a side that should have won 3 grand finals on the trot, and a decent coach like Hasler, Bennett or Sheens would have won those three at the very least. I dare say with the squad they had in the early-mid 2000's Bennett would have won more than 3 grand finals.

Stuart had his coaching career handed to him, he never earnt it.

In the article it says that sheens didn't pick farah against the Welsh. Tell me if I am wrong but didn't Robbie already went home because he found out about his mums cancer and left the four nations tour.

Obviously Stuart does his research not. What a fool. What chance does NSW have with this fool in charge. Next he will be bringing Menzies
back from France, putting Minichello at fullback, king in the centers and mason on the bench.

Sheen's told Farah he would be in the 17,then he picked Cronk instead,a poor decision from Sheen's,and one Farah has not forgotten,he had family there to watch him play for Australia and Sheen's duuded him.

IMO Ricky Stuart is the most overrated coach in the game today. He was rubbish at the roosters, reaping the benefits from the playing roster that was put into place by Murray. He has a dreadful record with the kangaroos and as for origin coach… Please! Even tommy coached nsw to victory!
Just quietly, has there ever been a coach more sensitive to criticism than him? Thank god he doesn't coach the tigers! He would neck himself after the first week reading this forum!!

To be honest I have no issue with this decision at all. Sheens put Cronk in because he provided better options than Farah, and gave his team the greatest likelyhood of victory. Last time i checked, thats what a coach is meant to do.
People on this forum bang on day in and out about the "in and out crowd" at the tigers… What rubbish! This one incident demonstrates it perfectly. Why would he not play favourites in a nothing game, yet use it as selection criteria in the nrl?

Fair call Damo, but you would have to admit Farah is in better form than Buderus.
