Suli

For someone who looks like he is barely trying out there he racks up huge numbers… and he is 18 years old in his debut season.

He should go close to Dally M Rookie of the Year.

Moses Suli on Test debut

1 try, 1 line break, 1 try assist, 1 line break assist, 17 runs for 167m, 9 tackles (0 missed), 4 tackle breaks

The young kid played well for sure. Really looking forward to seeing him develop over the next couple of years. He's such a powerful runner of the ball and his defence is solid too.

…. and then someone will poach him.

He had other offers before he decided to re-sign with the Tigers. I think the Bulldogs, the Eels and the Storm were all after him.

Yeah I only saw him get stopped on contact once tonight, he's got enormous leg drive for an 18 year old.

Agree with all of this and he looks to be just cruising!

We need to move Nofa outside Suli next year. Left edge McQueen, Suli, Nofa would be lethal.

Best signing the club has made for some time. We get him at eighteen the challenge will be to retain himat 21.

Hopefully we have someone who can cheat the cap as good as the Roosters and Bulldogs.

And I agree with others in this thread - leave him in the centres! Even though it's being proposed that with his build, strength and room to get bigger it's inevitable he will move to the forwards, let's not even think about it. To be excelling to the extent he is at his age and with his limited experience, indicates real ability. He is making it as a centre. Let's keep him off the weights and food and allow him to keep succeeding there! We need a blockbusting centre!

I say put him on the weights and food and keep him in the centres. A massive blockbusting centre who can also pass the ball is a target. Put a good winger and backrower around him and we have one edge where we can score some points.

He's becoming more dangerous by the week, and we're actually starting to give him a bit of early ball. Nearly broke the line on pretty much every run yesterday.

Would have been a lot better if Lovett wasn't in his road stopping him from getting more early ball.

He's a weapon in the making at only 18\. His post contact metres are very impressive and I'm very interested to see how he develops on the field, and in the gym over the next couple of years because I reckon his playing weight will easily end up being 110kg or more. The big question will be how much speed does he retain? I think backrow looks more likely at this stage but time will tell.

They need to keep him away from the big weights. Keep his natural frame with lean muscle so he maintains his speed, mobility and stamina.

He doesn't need strength conditioning anyway, he's as strong as an ox.

Maybe Lovett is there so that other clubs do not know how good Suli is.

It is similar to going fishing without a hook on the line.

I sit up straight and move to the edge of my seat when he gets the ball now… Last player that made me do that was Tuiaki.
Agree with Bathurst... But we need three solid line bending forward hit ups before he gets the ball... Then watch him go

I'm loving watching this kid develop. I wouldnt have thought he would be switched to Centre so early/young, but after 3 weeks it was starting to become clear he would handle the switch.

It looks like the club was right in locking this kid up. He is looking more and more confident every week and by Round 20 I wont be surprised if he is tearing up the competition.

Well Done Kid!
